189A Fairyhouse Summer Season Claiming Race

Adam Caffrey, rider of Susie Wosie, trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around in the final furlong.

189D Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn

A.J. Slattery, rider of Blue News (USA), trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right up the straight.

S. Foley, rider of First Gentleman, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was carried wide in the straight.

Adam Caffrey, rider of Mayo Dawn, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away from the starting stalls.

189E Darley Irish EBF Brownstown Stks

G.M. Ryan, rider of Dame Kiri (USA), trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his reins opened at the two furlong pole.

189F Follow Fairyhouse On Social Media H'cap

D.W. O'Connor, rider of Prisoner's Dilemma (GB), trained by J.F. Levins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got no run in the straight.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Hallowed Time, trained by Eoghan Joseph O'Neill, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran keen during this race.

189G1 Coast To Curragh Cycle August 26th H'cap

K.S. McHugh, rider of General Idea (GB), trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran short of room inside the last two furlongs.

D. McMonagle, rider of She's Local, trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got no run in the straight.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Broken Silence, trained by Reginald Roberts, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got no run in the straight.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident about one furlong from the finish involving General Idea (GB), ridden by K.S. McHugh, where it appeared that the rider checked his mount. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, A.J. Slattery, rider of Benerville, trained by T.Hogan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran green, got unbalanced in running but ran on well in the straight.

S. Foley, rider of Princess Rajj, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stumbled inside the final furlong.

189G2 Coast To Curragh Cycle August 26th H'cap

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Neve Bennett, rider of Sondheim, concerning her use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In her evidence, Neve Bennett accepted that she had breached the whip guidelines for frequent use of the whip. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that Neve Bennett was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using her whip with excessive frequency. Having taken her recent record into consideration, the Raceday Stewards suspended Neve Bennett for five racedays. Mr M.C. Hickey, Chairman of the Raceday Stewards was not present at this enquiry and was replaced as Chairman by Mr Joseph M. McGrath.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Lisabetta, trained by Timothy Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was badly hampered inside the two furlong marker.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident about one and a half furlongs from the finish involving Twins For Joy, ridden by Adam Caffrey, Lisabetta, ridden by G.M. Ryan, and Redshore City, ridden by O. McSweeney where it appeared that Lisabetta checked when Redshore City edged towards its racing line. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, G.M. Ryan stated that his mount was slow to try and take a gap, ran out of room and checked. O. McSweeney stated that his mount was going nowhere quickly when edging to the left before being straightened. Adam Caffrey stated that his mount had rolled both left and right before being straightened. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action. Mr M.C. Hickey, Chairman of the Raceday Stewards was not present at this enquiry and was replaced as Chairman by Mr Joseph M. McGrath.
