Weekend fixtures at Fairyhouse and Navan both cancelled due to a covering of snow

THE Turf Club has announced that, following course inspections at Fairyhouse and Navan today, Thursday, 9th December, both courses were found to be unfit for racing due to a covering of snow.

As a consequence the fixtures scheduled for Fairyhouse on Saturday, 11th December and Navan on Sunday, 12th December have both been cancelled.

SUMMARY OF UPCOMING FIXTURES:-

Dundalk – Friday 10th December (already scheduled) – first race 6pm (last day of the Flat season).
Cork – Sunday 12th December (already scheduled).
Cork - Monday 13th December (transferred from Tuesday 14th December).
Punchestown - Tuesday 14th December (John Durkan Memorial Steeplechase – Grade 1 race).
Fairyhouse - Wednesday 15th December (rescheduled from Saturday 11th December).
Clonmel - Thursday 16th December (rescheduled from Wednesday 15th December).
Downpatrick – Friday 17th December (already scheduled).
Navan – Saturday 18th December (already scheduled, now includes The Navan Novice Hurdle -Grade 1).
Navan – Sunday 19th December (transferred from Saturday 4th December now includes 2 Grade races from Sunday 12th December).
Thurles – Sunday 19th December (already scheduled).
Gowran Park - Wednesday 22nd December (transferred from Friday 10th December).
