The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

K.J. Leonard replaced R.P. Cleary on Press Play, trained by C.W.J. Farrell (Race 3)(failed to present)

The Raceday Stewards interviewed K.S. McHugh, rider of Aljady (FR), concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. K. S. McHugh stated that he was unaware at the time that he was out of contention as his mount was drifting right but accepted he was in breach of R10. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisficed that K. S. McHugh was in breach of R10.3(b) in that he used his whip after his chance of winning or being placed is clearly gone. Having taken his previous record into consideration the Raceday Stewards cautioned K. S. McHugh on this occasion. Ms Elaine O' Farrell accompanied K. S. McHugh in this enquiry.

S.P. Bird, rider of Fox Leicester trained by John M.Burke, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left in the straight.

365B Irish Stallion Farms EBF Med. Auct. Race

Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Empty Metaphor trained by Ms Claire O'Connell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount ducked left in the last furlong of this race.

J. Coen, rider of Engines On trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly into stride.

365C Now Racing Every Wednesday Nursery H'cap

The Raceday Stewards interviewed R.P. Cleary in relation to Rule 148 for failing to present himself to the scales to weigh out for Press Play for which he had been declared to ride. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he was notified late that he was riding the reserve, and also met with severe traffic on route. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied with the explanations and took no further action.

M.A. Enright, rider of Notforalongtime (GB) trained by Laura Hourigan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount didn't get a clear run early in the straight.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Barbapapa, ridden by C.D. Hayes, Notforalongtime (GB), ridden by M.A. Enright, Skontonovski (GB), ridden by Adam Caffrey, Senor Carrots, ridden by W.J. Lee, and Oh Cleo, ridden by C.T. Keane where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. M. A. Enright stated that he had nowhere to go early in the straight with horses bunching up around him. C. D. Hayes stated that his mount shifted left for a stride. W. J. Lee stated that his mount was carried left early in the straight. C. T. Keane stated that his mount ran around under pressure. Adam Caffery stated that his mount wandered in the straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action. .

365E1 Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk H'cap

K.J. Leonard, rider of Red Cymbal (GB) trained by Anthony McCann, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away and never travelled. Following this report the Raceday Stewards interviewed K. J. Leonard in relation to this report, Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. K.J Leonard stated that after watching the recording of the race he accepted his mount wasn't slowly away but felt his mount never travelled throughout. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards took no further action, other than to advise K. J. Leonard to be more aware of the wording of his reports in future.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages involving Inflection Point, ridden by Siobhan Rutledge, and Zig Zag Zyggy, ridden by Adam Caffrey where it appeared they came close together. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Dutch Glory trained by Ross O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount jumped right from the stalls.

365F Dundalk Stadium Gift Vouchers Hcap

R.P. Whelan, rider of Riccardi Medici trained by M.Halford, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lugged right under pressure.

C. Horgan, rider of Dare To Flare trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

365G Crowne Plaza Dundalk Race & Stay M'dn

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that He Knows Nothing trained by Luke Comer was found to be a gelding and not a colt as shown on the passport presented. Having considered the report, the Raceday Stewards fined Luke Comer €130 in accordance with the provisions or Rule 148(vi).

R.C. Colgan, rider of Mount Bounty trained by D.Broad, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away from the stalls.

Patrick Michael Verling, trainer of Ely Bandero, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge got a fright in the stalls and got distressed in the back straight.

A.J. Slattery, rider of Ely Bandero trained by Patrick Michael Verling, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got distressed in the back straight as a result of getting upset in the stalls.
