The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Damian Joseph English, trainer of Sotomayor (GB) (Late Withdrawal) - €200

278B Dundalkstadium.com Claiming M'dn

A.J. Slattery, rider of Desert Viper trained by J.A.Stack, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount walked out from stalls.

278C Crowne Plaza Race & Stay Nursery H'cap

S. Foley, rider of Shines Her Light trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not pick up in the straight.

The Stewards requested a report from G.M.Lyons, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Leadership Race, placed first, as compared with its recent form. G.M. Lyons reported that his charge did not handle slower ground on previous runs and that this evening's run was a final effort to show some form. Having considered the report the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

278E Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) H'cap

The Stewards enquired into an incident at the start of this race where it appeared that the rear gates of stall 10, the starting stall of Outside Inside ridden by A.J. Slattery and trained by J.W. Davison, accidentally opened. Evidence was heard from A.J. Slattery, rider, Mr. J.R. Banahan, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Starter and Mr. P. Barrett, Stalls Handlers' Team Leader. Mr. J.R. Banahan confirmed that following this incident all starting stalls were inspected and found to be in perfect working order. Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was accidental in nature and they took no further action.

A.J. Slattery, rider of Outside Inside trained by Jack W. Davison, reported to the Clerk of Scales that the rear gates of his stall opened as this race started. .

The Stewards interviewed D.P. McDonogh, rider of Annabelle Rock, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that D.P. McDonagh was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (g), in that he used his whip with excessive frequency. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended D.P. McDonagh for 1 raceday.

278F(i) Christmas Party Nights Apprentice H'cap (Division One)

The Stewards requested a report from Noel Meade, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Buzz Killington, placed first, as compared with its most recent run. Noel Meade reported that his charge ran disappointingly on his last run and that the faster ground this evening along with the first time application of blinkers assisted his charge and brought about an improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

278F(ii) Christmas Party Nights Apprentice H'cap (Division Two)

The Stewards interviewed A. Mackay, rider of Sally Gap, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that A. Makay was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (b) in that he used his whip unnecessarily when his chances of winning or being placed were clearly gone. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended A. Makay for 3 racedays.

The Stewards interviewed S.M. Mooney, rider of No Trouble, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that S.M. Mooney was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (b) in that he used his whip unnecessarily when his chances of winning or being placed were clearly gone. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended S.M. Mooney for 1 raceday.

A. Mackay, rider of Sally Gap trained by David Geraghty, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right in the last furlong.

Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Kody Ridge trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount laid back as the stalls opened and was reluctant to go forward.

O.J. Orr, rider of Eyeoweyou trained by Karl Thornton, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away from the start.

278G Crowne Plaza Race & Stay H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Dalileo, trained by J.P. Murtagh, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

R. Coakley, rider of Construct (GB) trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount checked off heels in the straight.

S. Foley, rider of Casima (GB) trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount moved badly and eased off in the straight.
