The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

C.D. Hayes rode Unconscious Mind (reserve), trained by J.F. Levins (Race 1)
R.P. Cleary rode Star Act (reserve), trained by Adrian McGuinness (Race 2)
Sam Ewing rode Siradjan (reserve), trained by D. K. Weld (Race 5)
O.J. Orr rode Lansing (reserve), trained by David Marnane (Race 6)
Sam Ewing rode Ecliptic Moon (reserve), trained by Nigel Thomas Slevin (Race 6)

At the request of the Stewards, James J. Doyle, rider of Boitron (FR), trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lugged left.

324B HOLLYWOODBETS Nursery H'cap

The Stewards enquired into an incident rounding the first bend involving The Last Knight, ridden by Sam Ewing, Ginato, ridden by G.P. Halpin, Sincerest, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, Writewhenyouland, ridden by Adrian O'Shea, Brosna Empress, ridden by T.P. Madden, Keepyourdistance, ridden by W.J. Lee, Ablah (USA), ridden by G.M. Ryan and Star Act, ridden by R.P. Cleary, where it appeared interference had occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned in the presence of Mr. Shane Lyons, who accompanied Sam Ewing at this enquiry. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that G.P, Halpin was in breach of Rule 214 (careless riding) and having considered his record they suspended him for 5 racedays .

G.P. Halpin, rider of Ginato trained by Kevin Prendergast, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lugged left throughout.

W.J. Lee, rider of Keepyourdistance trained by Edward P.Harty, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got tight for room at the first bend.

R.P. Cleary, rider of Star Act trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was badly hampered at the first bend and clipped a heel.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Ablah (USA) trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got tight for room at the first bend.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Writewhenyouland trained by Mrs.A.M.O'Shea was found to have burst a blood vessel post race.

S.M. Crosse, rider of Phantom Power trained by Edward Lynam, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran very green and never travelled.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Overtake (GB) trained by M.Halford, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped left when the stalls opened.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Magic Charm trained by Miss Natalia Lupini, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away.

O.J. Orr, rider of Lansing trained by David Marnane, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount went left after the stalls opened.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Magic Charm, trained by Miss Natalia Lupini, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal, samples were taken for analysis.

Sam Ewing, rider of Irish Poseidon (GER) trained by Matthew J. Smith, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away out of the starting stalls.

G.P. Halpin, rider of Pinch A Penny trained by William J. Fitzpatrick, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount reared up when the starting stalls opened.

James J. Doyle, rider of Macaban City trained by Gerard Michael Hussey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away out of the starting stalls.

The Stewards interviewed C.P. Hoban, rider of Romann, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that C.P. Hoban was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they cautioned him on this occasion.

The Stewards requested a report from Patrick J.Flynn, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Romann, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Eoghan Norris, Authorised Representative for the trainer, reported that the yard had been under a cloud for sometime for no apparent reason and appeared to turn the corner today with the yard having two winners. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Royal Admiral trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away from the starting stalls.

A.W. Short, rider of Effernock Dieubon trained by Miss Katy Brown, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left during this race.

K.J. Manning, rider of Capablanca trained by Patrick J.Flynn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was checked about two furlongs from the finish.

The Stewards enquired into an incident early in the home straight involving Effernock Dieubon, ridden by A.W. Short, Capablanca, ridden by K.J. Manning and Getgo (GB), ridden by G.P. Brouder, where it appeared Effernock ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the incident accidental and therefore took no further action.
