The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. P.L. Malone, that J. Kearney, rider of Aurora Nova, placed fourth, had weighed in at 10 lbs light. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he had weighed out correctly but realised on presenting himself at scales to weigh in that the lead cloth was missing resulting in a 10 lb discrepancy. Andrew McNamara, trainer of Aurora Nova, stated that he had mistakenly left the lead cloth in the stable when saddling his charge. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J. Kearney had weighed in at 10 lbs light and disqualified Aurora Nova from fourth place in accordance with the provisions of Rule 231(i). The amended result now to read; First - Almendares (GB), Second - Heartrate, Third - Billboa (GB), Fourth - Redshore City and Fifth - So Majestic. Furthermore, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Andrew McNamara was in breach of Rule 36(iii) and Rule 148(i) and fined him €400. Ian Kearney accompanied J. Kearney at this enquiry.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Dancing Tango, ridden by Mr J.L. Gleeson, placed fifth, and Burren Song, ridden by Mr A.P. Ryan, placed fourth, where it appeared that Dancing Tango made an inward manoeuvre and made contact with Burren Song. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, Mr A.P. Ryan stated that he had straightened his mount before the incident which happened quickly and contact was made. Mr J.L. Gleeson stated that his mount had been hanging and he initially tried to challenge up the stand side but he thought he had enough room to his left and did not expect his mount to go out on Burren Song. Carroll, unplaced, and Alfarida, ridden by C.D. Maxwell, unplaced, where it appeared that Havana Notion (GB) made an outward move and Little Keilee checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, D. Maxwell stated that he had horses on his inner that were spreading out and he got tight for room on the outer. G.F. Carroll stated that a number of horses ahead of him went outwards off the final bend and his own mount kept getting pushed out leaving little room for horses on the very wide outside.
