J.M. Sheridan, rider of Aloysius Lilius, trained by Gerard O'Leary, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got stopped between one and a half and two furlongs from the finish.

M.P. Sheehy, rider of Mna Na Mhi, trained by Patrick Martin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped slowly from the starting stalls.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident about one and a half furlongs from the finish involving Harmony Rose (GB), ridden by W.J. Lee, placed fourth, Jawwaal (GB), ridden by M.W Hassett, placed sixth, and Aloysius Lilius, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, placed fifth, where it appeared that Aloysius Lilius was unable to take a gap between Harmony Rose (GB) and Jawwaal (GB) and eventually ran short of room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the late arrival at the start of Jawwaal (GB) , trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien and ridden by M.W. Hassett, Apprentice Jockey, which contributed to the race starting three minutes late. M.W. Hassett stated that he had previously ridden Jawwaal (GB) when his mount was very well in himself, who got his head down and got running on the way to the start. He added that today his mount tried to get running on the way to the start but he brought him back to a trot and proceeded to the start at that pace. He apologised for his actions which resulted in him arriving at the start one minute after the advertised starting time. Brendan Powell, Authorised representative for Joseph Patrick O'Brien stated that in view of the horses strong nature when going to the start previously, he felt that it would be best to go to the start last of the runners but their charge latched on to the bit and the rider brought him back to a trot. He confirmed that Jawwaal (GB) was a suitable ride for an Apprentice Jockey. Having considered all the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that M.W. Hassett was in breach of Rule 205 by failing to have his mount at the post ready to start at the appointed time. Having taken his clean previous record into consideration, the Raceday Stewards cautioned M.W. Hassett on this occasion.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident about one furlong from the finish involving Lady Montse, ridden by J. Cleary, placed sixth, Monophonic, ridden by J. Kearney, placed fifth, and Where R U Now Bob, ridden by D. McMonagle, unplaced, where it appeared that Where R U Now Bob was tight for room when challenging between horses. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, D. McMonagle stated that he switched inwards off the final bend but Lady Montse began to roll inwards and carried his own mount leaving him tight between horses. J. Kearney stated that he held the inner position and received pressure from his outside. J. Cleary stated that his mount was wandering beneath him but he was unaware of any challengers on his inner when drifting and corrected his mount when he got a shout from the other riders. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found that J. Cleary was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered his record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended J. Cleary for one raceday. Ian Kearney accompanied J. Kearney at this enquiry.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J. Cleary, rider of Lady Montse, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, J. Cleary stated that mount was responding to the whip and he misjudged his use of it. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that J. Cleary was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his clean previous record into consideration, the Raceday Stewards cautioned J. Cleary on this occasion.

Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that J. Cleary was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. In her evidence, Amy Jo Hayes stated that she was trying to keep her position and to stop her mount from hanging. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that Amy Jo Hayes was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using her whip with excessive frequency.
