G.M. Ryan, rider of Lady Rosebud trained by Patrick Martin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout.
D.E. Sheehy, rider of Harvey Specter trained by R.Donohoe, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was very slowly away.
The Stewards interviewed John C. McConnell, trainer of Pivotal Man (GB), concerning the conduct of this horse who refused to leave the starting stalls. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the stewards under the provisions of Rule 14 (iii), suspended Pivotal Man for thirty days.
366A2 Leading Jockey&Trainer Championship HcapD.P. McDonogh, rider of Feisty Katerina trained by Gerard O'Leary, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was checked passing the stands with a circuit to race.
The Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving the stalls involving Solomons Seal, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed fourth, Taliyna, ridden by G.P. Halpin, unplaced, Feisty Katerina, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, unplaced and Shake The Bucket, ridden by T.P. Madden, unplaced, where it appeared that Feisty Katerina got tight for room and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference caused was accidental and they therefore took no further action.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Taliyna, trained by John C. McConnell, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have a cut to a hind leg.
366B Irishinjuredjockeys.com Claiming RaceThe Stewards interviewed R.P. Downey, rider of Comhghairdeas, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found R. P. Downey in breach of Regulation 10,3 (g), frequency. Having considered R. P. Downey's record in this regard the stewards cautioned him on this occasion.
366E1 Crowne Plaza Hotel Race & Stay H'capThe Stewards interviewed R. Aguiar, rider of Ascot Dreamer (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found R. Aguiar in breach of Regulation 10, 3 (g), frequency and 10, 3 (i) time to respond. Having considered R. Aguiar's record in this regard the Stewards suspended R. Aguiar for three racedays.
N.M. Crosse, rider of Polly Douglas trained by Kieran P. Cotter, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount had no luck in running.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Dance Alone (GB), trained by Damian Joseph English, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
366E2 Crowne Plaza Hotel Race & Stay H'capW.J. Lee, rider of Pleasant Gesture trained by J. J. Lambe, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right.
The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Lapilli (GB), ridden by R.P. Whelan, and trained by Damian Joseph English. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. R.P. Whelan, stated that his instructions were to drop the horse in from a bad draw and to ride him cold. He took him back from the stalls and took a chance down the inner. He got no gap until he switched right and then he ran on well. Damian Joseph English, stated that Lapilli is a bad bleeder and he confirmed that these were the instructions given to Mr. Whelan. Damien Joseph English also expressed his satisfaction with the ride that Lapilli received. The Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Lapilli coughed several times, possibly as a result of kick back, and had a slight cut to a hind leg when examined post race. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations given.
366F Floodlit Friday Nights At Dundalk H'capL.T. McAteer, rider of Mister Dancer trained by C. Moore, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.
