The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

L.T. McAteer, rider of Adams Barbour trained by Lee Smyth, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stumbled leaving the stalls.

361B William Hill Lengthen Your Odds M'dn

N.M. Crosse, rider of Initial Attempt trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stumbled on leaving the stalls and that his mount also lost a front shoe.

K.J. Leonard, rider of Cozy Cartel trained by Patrick Michael Verling, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped awkwardly from the stalls.

M.P. Sheehy, rider of Just An Hour trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away from the stalls.

361C William Hill Pick Your Places H'cap

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving San Andreas, ridden by H.J. Horgan, Miss Mirabell, ridden by S.B. Kelly, and Steel Bull, ridden by L.F. Roche where it appeared that an incident occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. H. J. Horgan stated that the horse on his outside veered left causing him to check, but felt his race was run and was going backwards at the time. L. F. Roche stated that he ran short of room in the closing stages. S. B. Kelly stated that his mount is a difficult ride and moved left in the closing stages despite his best efforts. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found that S. B. Kelly was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered his record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended S.B. Kelly for 1 raceday. Mr P. Reynolds Acting Steward, recused himself from this enquiry.

M.P. Sheehy, rider of Federal trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got no luck in running up the straight.

361D Story Of Dundalk Stadium Apprentice Hcap

J. Kearney, rider of Reverberation (GB) trained by J.J.Lambe, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to check back in the last furlong.

R. Whearty, rider of Vlad The Impaler trained by J.J.Lambe, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount clipped a heel down the back straight.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Hurricane Helen (GB), ridden by D. King, Malaysian, ridden by C. Stone-Walsh, Reverberation (GB), ridden by J. Kearney, and Capla Knight, ridden by L.T. McAteer, where it appeared that an incident occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned, in the presence of Ms. Elaine Farrell, who accompanied D. King, Mr Ian Kearney, who accompanied J. Kearney and Mr. Kevin Borthwick, who accompanied C. Stone-Walsh. D.King stated that when filling a gap his mount shied from the horse on his outside. L. T. McAteer stated that he kept his mount straight throughout. J. Kearney stated that he received pressure from both sides and had to check back. C. Stone-Walsh stated that when filling a gap his mount shied from the horse on his outside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action other than to advise D. King and C. Stone-walsh to ride with more awareness in future.
