Following a request from broadcasters, the Stewards granted permission for a 1 minute delay to race 1.
S. Foley, rider of Janets Wish trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung up the straight.
The Stewards interviewed R. Aguiar, rider of Ascot Dreamer (GB), concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found the rider in breach of Rule 211(a). Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards cautioned R. Aguiar on this occasion and advised him to familiarise himself with Rule 211. Mr. J.M. McGrath, Acting Steward, was not present for this enquiry.
The Stewards interviewed Mr. J.R. Banahan, I.H.R.B Starter, to explain the circumstances surrounding the unexpected opening of the stalls during loading. Evidence was heard from Mr. Banahan, who stated that the normal procedures to check the stalls prior to loading were followed and he was satisfied that all was in order. He stated that after he mounted the rostrum and for no apparent reason the stalls malfunctioned and opened. Having viewed a recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Stewards were unable to establish a reason for the stalls malfunction and took no further action other than to instruct Mr. Banahan to check the stalls again before loading for the next race. Mr. Banahan subsequently reported to the Stewards, that following a further inspection of the stalls an electric cable was replaced. Mr. J.M. McGrath, Acting Steward, was not present for this enquiry.

Dylan Browne McMonagle, rider of Trade Talks (GB) trained by C. Moore, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Trade Talks (GB), trained by C. Moore, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have blood on both nostrils, possibly as a result of exercised induced pulmonary haemorrhage.
302D Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auct MdnThe Stewards fined Anthony McCann, trainer of Shabra's O.B. €130 for failing to notify the authorities that his charge was gelded in accordance with the provisions of Rule 148(vi).
C.P. Hoban, rider of Sydney Blues trained by Patrick J.Flynn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount cocked his jaw after 50 yards, that his saddle slipped and he pulled up thereafter.
D. O'Brien, rider of Thames River (GB) trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was very green when hitting the front.
R.P. Whelan, rider of Balmari (Ire) trained by M. Halford, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away from the stalls.
302E Irishinjuredjockeysfund.com H'capThe Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Red All Star, trained by Gerard Keane, for failing to lodge the passport in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (i).
The Stewards interviewed Mr. J.R. Banahan, I.H.R.B Starter, in relation to confusion around stall numbering which caused a delay to the start of this race. Evidence was heard from Mr. Banahan and from Mr. Jason Grogan, stall handler team leader. Mr. Banahan reported that confusion arouse around number 14 Red All Star drawn in stall 16, which was withdrawn earlier by the Stewards and number 16 My Good Brother, the reserve, drawn in stall 9 and after a miscommunication between himself and Mr. Grogan, the stall numbers were changed twice which caused a delay to the start of this race. Mr. Banahan accepted responsibility for the error and apologised for the inconvenience caused. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards referred the matter to the C.E.O. of the I.H.R.B for further investigation.
302G(i) Crowne Plaza Race & Stay H'cap (Division One)R.P. Whelan, rider of Gougane Barra (USA), trained by M.Halford, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount reared leaving the stalls and was lame on pulling up.
The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Golden Valour (GB), ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed second, Queen Amidala, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed third and Latchet, ridden by G.M. Ryan, placed first, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action. Mr. J.M. McGrath, Acting Steward, absented himself from this enquiry.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Gougane Barra (USA) trained by M.Halford was found to be lame post race.
