The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

R. P. Cleary replaced G.P. Halpin on Lazy Susan, trained by Richard John O'Brien (Race 5)(Unwell).

016A Irishinjuredjockeys.com Rated Race

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Park Row, trained by D P Coakley, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

016B1 Dundalk Stadium Business Club H'cap

The Stewards advised John James Feane, trainer of Bellepower, that a repeat performance from his charge, who refused to race, may render the horse liable to suspension.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Pretty Little Liar, trained by David Peter Dunne, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis.

016B2 Dundalk Stadium Business Club H'cap

W.J. Lee, rider of Mazeo Lad trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left in the straight.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Dani's Boy trained by P.A.Fahy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got no clear run throughout the race.

016C View Restaurant January Special H'cap

The Stewards informed Madeleine Tylicki, trainer, that Helen De Pourtales, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

The Stewards interviewed A.C. Persse, rider of Calidus Mirabilis (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that some of the strikes were for corrective measures and they therefore did not find A. C. Persse in breach of Regulation 10.3 (g) frequency. However, having received a report from the Irish Horse Racing Regulatory Board veterinary officer they did find him in breach of Regulation 10.3 (f) excessive force. Having considered A. C. Persse's record in this regard and pursuant to Regulation 10.6 (a) the stewards suspended A. C. Persse for six racedays.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Bella Brazil, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

016D Fundraise At Dundalk Stadium M'dn

James J. Doyle, rider of Magyar (GB) trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount met with interference in the latter stages of the race.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the back straight involving Comradery, ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed second, Turbo Command, ridden by K.J. Manning, placed third and My Lucky Penny, ridden by Adrian O'Shea, unplaced, where it appeared that Turbo Command ran short of room and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found Adrian O'Shea in breach of Rule 214, in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered Adrian O'Shea's record in this regard the stewards suspended Adrian O'Shea for four racedays.

016E Crowne Plaza Hotel Apprentice M'dn

B.M. Coen, rider of Super Schemer (USA) trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount suffered interference in the closing stages.

A.C. Persse, rider of Otilah trained by Patrick J.Flynn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran very green early on.

P.A. Harnett, rider of Charle Brune (FR) trained by T.Shanahan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount broke slowly.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Beauchamp Bagenal, ridden by W.T. Byrne, placed first, Super Schemer (USA), ridden by B.M. Coen, placed second and Wherewithal (GB), ridden by E.A. Fitzgerald, unplaced, where it appeared that Beauchamp Bagenal drifted right and made contact with Super Schemer. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judges placings and took no further action. E. A. Fitzgerald was accompanied by Mr. M. Halford at this enquiry.

016F Best Night Out At Dundalk Stadium H'cap

Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Have A Nice Day (GB) trained by Sabrina J. Harty, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount made a respiratory noise in the last furlong.
