The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J.J.G. Ryan rode Aces Wild (reserve) trained by John C. McConnell (Race 1)
C. Stone-Walsh replaced H.J. Horgan on Dancing Tango, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien (Race 2)(unwell)

377A William Hill Extra Places Everyday H'cap

Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Silver Nemo trained by Lee Smyth, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount reared in the stalls.

Sorcha Woods, rider of Drummond Warrior trained by R. K. Watson, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount had to check off heels turning in.

A.J. Slattery, rider of Poet's Pride (GB) trained by David Marnane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount anticipated the start.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed C.D. Hayes, rider of Florence Thompson, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that C.D. Hayes was in breach of Regulation 10.3.(g)(frequency) and having considered his record they cautioned him on this occasion.

R.C. Colgan, rider of Mr Escobar trained by Joseph Anthony Murray, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left in the straight.

J. Cleary, rider of Engagement Ring trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room early in this race.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving the stalls involving Mr Escobar, ridden by R.C. Colgan, Dancing Tango, ridden by C. Stone-Walsh, and Engagement Ring, ridden by J. Cleary, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned in the presence of Brendan Powell, who accompanied C. Stone-Walsh. J. Cleary stated that his mount had to check when the horses on his outside moved inwards. C. Stone-Walsh stated that the horse on his outer moved inwards and tightened his mount. R.C. Colgan stated that his mount was a difficult ride and leaned inwards causing interference despite his best efforts. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that the incident was caused by Mr. Escobar hanging, that no riding offence had occurred, and that no further action was warranted.

377C William Hill Play Responsibly H'cap

C.T. Keane, rider of Firstman (FR) trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he took a precautionary check in the home straight. The Raceday Stewards reviewed this incident and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

377D Irishinjuredjockeys.com Race

S.B. Kelly, rider of Baile Locha Riach (FR) trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Head Of State, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

377E TRM Champion Awards 2022 Nursery H'cap

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Fleetfootsoldier trained by Kevin Thomas Coleman, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran keen to the bend.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Ledger, trained by Paul Traynor, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount jinked towards the paddock gate and over reacted to his correction.

377F Happy Christmas From All At Dundalk Hcap

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Fastnet Crown, ridden by C.T. Keane, and Ivasecret, ridden by D.P. McDonogh where it appeared that interference had occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C.T. Keane stated that he was riding a straight line in the closing stages and received a bump. D.P. McDonogh stated that he was travelling well and moved off heels and that his mount over exaggerated this move and caused minor interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found that D.P. McDonogh, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards cautioned him on this occasion.

377G Dundalk Stadium Racing Returns 2023 Hcap

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from David Marnane trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Jered Maddox (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent form. David O' Connell, authorised representative for David Marnane stated that the removal of blinkers seemed to be a contributory factor for the improvement in form tonight. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

J. Kearney, rider of Plankton trained by Andrew McNamara, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had a good blow.

J.A. Heffernan, rider of Circles trained by Anthony McCann, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount suffered interference in this race. The Raceday Stewards considered this report and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

377H HRI Best Turned-Out Flat League (F) M'dn

C. Geerdharry, rider of Lauroline (GB) trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

J. Cleary, rider of Theresathought trained by Michael G. Cleary, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount went left leaving the stalls.
