The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

328A1 Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey&Trainer Hcap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ar Eagla Na Heagla (GB), trained by Francis Casey, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

328A2 Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey&Trainer Hcap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Amlad, trained by Andrew McNamara, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

328B Dundalk Stadium Claiming Race

S.B. Kelly, rider of Yuften (GB) trained by Noel C. Kelly, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left when hit the front.

S.M. Crosse, rider of Kasbah trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount caught a heel after a furlong.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Garryowen (GB) trained by R.P.Cody, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was out of control for the first furlong and a half.

The Stewards enquired into two incidents, the first shortly after leaving stalls involving Kasbah, ridden by S.M. Crosse, Distant Mirage (GB), ridden by R.P. Whelan, and Garryowen (GB), ridden by D.P. McDonogh, where it appeared Garryowen (GB) ran too free and Kasbah caught a heel and stumbled. The second incident took place in the straight and involved Yuften (GB), ridden by S.B. Kelly, Distant Mirage (GB) ridden by R.P. Whelan and Scream, ridden by S. Foley, where it appeared that Distant Mirage (GB) checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action.

328C1 Irishinjuredjockeys.com Apprentice H'cap

G.M. Ryan, rider of Plum Perfect trained by Tracey Collins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran short of room turning-in.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Crafty Hugo, trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

328C2 Irishinjuredjockeys.com Apprentice H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Soldier's Folly, trained by A. Oliver, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing post race.

The Stewards received a report from W. Fleming, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that S.P. Bird, rider of Irregardless, weighed in at 1.1 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that S.P. Bird was in breach of Rule 231 and having taken his previous record in this regard into account suspended him for 2 race days.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Strategic Fortune, trained by Patrick J.Flynn, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
