014A1 Dundalk Winter Series Championship Hcap

The Raceday Stewards interviewed R. Whearty, rider of Harbanaker, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he had used his whip for correctional purposes and did not realise he had exceeded the guidelines but having viewed the recording of the race R. Whearty accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that R. Whearty was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g) (frequency). Having taken his previous record into account the Raceday Stewards suspended R. Whearty for one Raceday.

014A2 Dundalk Winter Series Championship Hcap

N.M. Crosse, rider of Sod's Law (GB), trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount moved badly.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Ciaran Murphy, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Stardayz, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer stated that the removal of all headgear and tongue strap coupled with a more positive ride brought about today's improvement. Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

014D Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

G.M. Ryan, rider of Wayside Lady, trained by John Stephen O'Donoghue, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ocean Symphony, trained by J.P. Murtagh, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

M.P. Sheehy, rider of Collective Power, trained by Edward Lynam, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not get a clear run.

The Raceday Stewards received a report from P. L. Malone, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that J. Coen, rider of Gobi Star, weighed in at 2lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who excepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J. Coen was in breach of Rule 231 and having taken his previous record into account the Raceday Stewards suspended J. Coen for one Raceday.

Tom Kiely Marshall, rider of Chateau Musar, trained by John Geoghegan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got unbalanced and short of room.

L.F. Roche, rider of Winterscape (GB), trained by Paul Nolan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got wiped out.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the turn into the straight involving Chateau Musar, ridden by Tom Kiely Marshall, placed fourth, Maura's Gift, ridden by R. Whearty, unplaced, Winterscape (GB), ridden by L.F. Roche, unplaced, Rock Ya Boy Ya, ridden by R.P. Cleary, unplaced, and Carslake (GB), ridden by Jessica O'Gorman, unplaced, where it appeared Winterscape ran short of room and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Tom Kiely Marshall stated that he received pressure from his outside. R. Whearty stated that he also received pressure from his right. L.F. Roche stated that just off the bend his racing line was taken and he had to check. R.P. Cleary stated that he was on the inside and kept his line throughout. Jessica O'Gorman stated that that she kept her racing line off the bend and into the straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards could not apportion blame to any one rider and they took no further action.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Gracesolution, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who excepted that she was in breach of Regulation 10. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Siobhan Rutledge was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g) (frequency). Having taken her previous record into account the Raceday Stewards suspended Siobhan Rutledge for nine Racedays

M.A. Enright, rider of Power To Love, trained by E. D. Delany, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right.

N.M. Crosse, rider of Golden Forest, trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount travelled in snatches and was on and off the bridle throughout.
