The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

G. F. Carroll rode Talking Tough (reserve), trained by Michael Mulvany (Race 6)

At the request of the Stewards, M.A. Gallagher, rider of Ferdowsi (GB), trained by W.M.Roper, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung in the straight and ran flat.

W.M.Roper, trainer of Ferdowsi (GB), reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge gurgled post race.

The Stewards requested a report from D.J. Bunyan, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Never Seen Before, placed first, as compared with its most recent run. D. J. Bunyan stated that his charge did not face the first time cheek pieces last time out and was much more genuine today with no headgear applied. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation given.

D.E. Sheehy, rider of Benkogambit trained by Patrick Martin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount leaned left turning in.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Miss Sassyboots, trained by Shane Nolan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

A.J. Slattery, rider of Sors trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls.

A.C. Persse, rider of Feel Good Factor (GB) trained by Lee Smyth, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount moved badly in the straight.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Feel Good Factor (GB), trained by Lee Smyth, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards received a report from the Irish Horse Racing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officier, Mr. A. Tyrrell, that Lee Smyth, trainer of Feel Good Factor, had reported to him that his charge was showing signs of being in season post race.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Shackleton Hero trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped left from the gates.

G.P. Brouder, rider of Moon Orchid trained by Thomas Cooper, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was badly hampered leaving the stalls.

T.P. Madden, rider of Possibility trained by Sean Byrne, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount suffered interference on the bend. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

G.P. Brouder, rider of Mienvee Flyer (GB) trained by Thomas Cooper, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ducked in after about a furlong.

R.P. Cleary, rider of Lady Alcazar trained by Thomas Cleary, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Slade Runner trained by Kieran P. Cotter, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount suffered interference after about a hundred yards.

The Stewards interviewed Thomas Cleary, trainer of Lady Alcazar, concerning the conduct of this horse who was very reluctant to race when the stalls opened. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned. Having considered the evidence The Stewards suspended Lady Alcazar from racing for a period of thirty days in accordance with the provisions of Rule 14(iii).

C.D. Hayes, rider of Stay With Me trained by D.J. Bunyan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

M.A. Gallagher, rider of Macaban City trained by Gerard Michael Hussey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away and very lethargic in the early stages before running on well to the line.

S. Foley, rider of Arctic Blaze trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran around a bit in the straight.

Keith Henry Clarke, trainer of Tenth Amendment, reported to the Office of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board that his charge was found to have burst blood vessels following examination post race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Forgetthesurprise, trained by Niall Madden, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
