Hayes but it did not affect his placing. S B Kelly stated that his horse is very nervous and got intimidated from the winner moving ahead of him. The Stewards enquired into an incident closing stages involving Chateau Musar, ridden by C.D. Hayes stated that he had to take a check due to Sam Missile drifting into his path. Sorcha Woods stated that her horse rolled around close to the line. She further added that her mount missed the headgear that was used on it previously. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action other than to advise Sorcha Woods to ride with more care in future. Mr. J.M. McGrath absented himself from this enquiry and Mr. A. Byrne acted as chairman in his stead.

The Stewards requested a report from A. Oliver, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Time And Money, placed first, as compared with its recent form. A. Oliver stated that Time And Money is a very quirky horse who got upset with his surroundings at the Curragh on his last run. He felt that the more closed environment in Dundalk suited the horse better by helping to keep him more relaxed and attributed this to the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanations given.
