The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

N.M. Crosse replaced L.F. Roche on Cherokee Run, trained by Luke Comer (Race 2)(Unwell)
C.D. Hayes replaced L.F. Roche on Okyle Lass, trained by Rodger Sweeney (Race 3)(Unwell)

390B Irish Stallion Farms EBF (C&G) M'dn

The Raceday Stewards received a report from Joan Taylor, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer that Luigi Antinori trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien was found to be a gelding and not a colt as shown on the passport presented. Having considered the report, the Raceday Stewards fined Joseph Patrick O' Brien €130 in accordance with provisions of Rule 148(vi).

GENERAL INFORMATION

The following Raceday Stewards acted on behalf of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board at this race meeting:

Dr. Paddy Molony (Chairman),

Mr. L. McFerran,

Mr. F Cahill,

Mr. P. Deegan.

Due to the weather conditions a consultation took place prior to racing between Raceday Stewards, Clerk of the course, Judge, IHRB Medical Officer,IHRB Veterinary Officer Joan Taylor, Declan McDonogh, Seamus Heffernan and the Racecourse Manager who were all happy to proceed with racing and monitor the situation accordingly. Following the running of the first race a delegation of senior riders met with the Raceday Stewards and expressed concerns that it was unsafe for racing to continue due to the poor visibility as a result of the effects of freezing fog on their goggles. Mr. Lorcan Wyer IHRB Clerk of the Course, Racecourse manager Mr. Jim Martin, Jim Gorman and Ado McGuinness were also consulted.
Having considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards, in the interest of safety used their powers under Rule 10 to abandon the remainder of the meeting.
