The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Cursory Exam (GB), trained by Gerard O'Leary, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have coughed a few times while being examined post race, probably as a result of kickback and to have a bruised left point of shoulder but was sound.

S. Foley, rider of Cursory Exam (GB) trained by Gerard O'Leary, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not handle the surface.

The Stewards interviewed J.M. Sheridan, rider of Made For Minds, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, J.M. Sheridan accepted that he had exceeded the guidelines for frequency but described his mount as having missed the break, was flat out before the straight, had the whip applied initially about four furlongs out and in the concluding stages he was trying to prevent him from rolling about. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that J.M. Sheridan was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration and pursuant to the provisions of R10(6)(a), the Stewards suspended J.M. Sheridan for six racedays.

The Stewards received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Starter, Mr. J.R. Banahan, that C. Horgan, rider of Tinkiewinkie and D. McMonagle, rider of City Point both entered the wrong stalls before their mounts were unloaded and brought forward again and led into the correct stalls. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C. Horgan accepted that his mount was brought forward by the stalls handler and was placed in the wrong stall. D. McMonagle accepted that it was his responsibility to enter the correct stall and on loading last he had an idea that he had entered the wrong stall but went with the flow. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied, on both riders admissions, that they were in breach of Rule 208 (iv). Having taken their clean previous records into consideration, the Stewards suspended both C. Horgan and D. McMonagle for one raceday each in accordance with the penalty guidelines.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Papa K, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards interviewed A.C. Persse, rider of Calibrachoa, concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. In his evidence, A.C. Persse admitted that he had crossed over quickly having got a fast break from a wide draw. He added that he did not interfere with any other runner during this manoeuvre. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered evidence from the rider, the Stewards were satisfied that A.C. Persse was in breach of Rule 211 by failing to keep a straight course to the marker poles. Having taken his clean previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended A.C. Persse for one raceday.
