The Raceday Stewards received a report from Mr. Andrew Ring, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that D.J Gilligan, rider of The Mediator, weighed in at 1.3 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he could not account for the overweight. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that D.J. Gilligan was in breach of Rule 231 and they therefore cautioned him on this occasion.
Shane Fenelon, rider of Kilkee Royal, trained by Jamie Albert Sloan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got badly hampered at the first down the back straight.
J.P. O'Sullivan, rider of Monsieur Azul (GB), trained by Paul Nolan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel. The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer subsequently confirmed the animal to have blood at both nostrils post race.
103B Club Lemon H'cap H'dleK. Callaghan, rider of Mullins Cross, trained by Martin Gerard McGuane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Herculaneum, trained by Noel C. Kelly, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have a small cut over the left stifle but to be otherwise post race normal.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Warm In Gorey, trained by P.J. Rothwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
103C Club Orange H'dleM.P. O'Connor, rider of Wee Jerry, trained by Neill McCluskey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left in the straight.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Paul Marvel (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis.
103D Club Loaded Beginners S'chaseJ.B. Foley, rider of Kingfisher Lane, trained by S.R.B. Crawford, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel. The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer subsequently confirmed the animal had blood at both nostrils post race.
103E Club Mixers H'cap S'chaseThe Raceday Stewards fined Emmet Mullins, trainer €65 for failing to fit the declared tongue strap to Hardy Bloke (FR) prior to entering the parade ring.
103F C&C White M'dn Hunters S'chaseMr S. Connor, rider of The Sad Shepherd, trained by S.R.B. Crawford, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount went lame and pulled up.
