195B Irish Jockeys Association (M) Mdn Hdle

At the request of the Stewards, D.F. O'Regan, rider of Helvic Princess (GB), trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount travelled ok, made a mistake at the 3rd last and just galloped on one paced to the line.

The Stewards interviewed C.J. Orr, rider of Diamondinthemud, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he had used his whip above the recommended guidelines and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that C.J. Orr was in breach of R10.3(g) and considering his record they suspended him for 2 racedays.

195C Cosy Roof (C&G) M'dn H'dle

At the request of the Stewards, S.W. Flanagan, rider of Maxios Show, trained by Gary McGill, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was a touch keen early on, then got out paced when the race quickened and stayed on one paced in the closing stages.

195D North Down Marquees H'cap H'dle

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Itsabeautifulnoise trained by Thomas Gibney, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount cocked his jaw and ran off the track.

E. Walsh, rider of Yarraman trained by P.Cluskey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel and pulled up. This was subsequently confirmed by the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer.

P. Townend, rider of Another Choice trained by Matthew J. Smith, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left after 2 furlongs.

195F Silk Plaster NI H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed Mr J.J. Gerrard, rider of Fassbender, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he had used his whip excessively. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. J.J. Gerard was in breach of R10.3(g) and having considered his record, they cautioned him on this occasion.

195G Great Outdoors INH Flat Race

At the request of the Stewards, Mr C.P. Millar, rider of Peekaboo Lily, trained by Nigel Thomas Slevin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount got very tired and pulled up. He further added that he didn't think Peekaboo Lily would stay todays trip. .
