The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Antilles (USA), trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
L.F. Roche, rider of I Am Superman trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount pulled his near fore shoe.
097D Coolmore Gleneagles EBF Athasi StakesThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Luceita, trained by J. S. Bolger, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
097F Curragh Where Champions Are Made H'capThe Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Compton's Finale (GB), ridden by L.F. Roche, Baby Power, ridden by K.J. Leonard and Tio Esteban (FR), ridden by A.J. Slattery, where it appeared Compton's Finale (GB) ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. A.J. Slattery gave his evidence in the presence of Mr. J. Fahey. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference was accidental in nature and took no further action.
K.J. Leonard, rider of Baby Power trained by Garry Caldwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left in the straight.
C.D. Hayes, rider of Takeachancejimmy trained by Nigel Thomas Slevin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was denied a clear run.
L.F. Roche, rider of Compton's Finale (GB) trained by Adrian Paul Keatley, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount met with interference.
M.A. Gallagher, rider of Clifftop Dancer trained by Edward P.Harty, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.
097G Curragh Training Grounds Apprentice HcapAt the request of the Stewards, D.N. Curran, rider of Treble Cone (GB), trained by Gerard Keane, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that he had to check his mount in running. .
The Stewards interviewed Mr. P.J.F. Murphy, trainer of Hit The Silk, into the apparent improvement in form of his charge. Mr Murphy reported that his charge met with interference the previous day in Limerick, he felt his charge is better over 7 furlongs, he also added that the application of a hood, his charge settling much better and the straight track today all helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Mr. Garry O' Gorman, The I.H.R.B. Handicapper, also gave evidence. Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
097H Curragh On Hallowed Ground H'capB.M. Coen, rider of Spiorad Saoirse (GB) trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
