The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr Hugh Hynes, that Adrian O'Shea, rider of My Lucky Penny, had weighed in at 1.3 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he had rehydrated after weighing out. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Adrian O'Shea was in breach of Rule 231 (iii). Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned Adrian O'Shea on this occasion.
R.P. Whelan, rider of Springbank trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount checked inside the final two furlongs .
S. Foley, rider of Jungle Cove trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount rolled around when under pressure in the latter stages of this race.
S.M. Crosse, rider of Fame And Acclaim trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount rolled left about a furlong from the finish causing him to drop a rein.
The Stewards enquired into an incident about one and a half furlongs from the finish involving Jungle Cove, ridden by S. Foley, placed fifth, Springbank, ridden by R.P. Whelan, unplaced and Miss Molly T, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed fourth, where it appeared that Springbank got tight for room and checked when racing between horses. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that any interference caused was accidental in nature and took no further action.
274C Weld Park StakesT.P. Madden, rider of Nope trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount reared up on leaving the starting stalls.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Tasalka, trained by D. K. Weld, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have sustained a wound to the lateral aspect of her left hind cannon otherwise was post race normal.
274D Foran Equine Irish EBF Auction RaceThe Stewards enquired into an incident about two furlongs from the finish involving Franklin Street, ridden by D. O'Brien, placed fourth and Waterville Lady, ridden by C.P. Hoban, placed fifth, where it appeared that Waterville Lady checked when Franklin Street made an outward manouevre when challenging. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards advised D. O'Brien to ride with more care.
274F Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auct MdnL.F. Roche, rider of Now The King trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not handle the ground.
The Stewards fined P.J.F. Murphy, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Cardinal Rule, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Cardinal Rule in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.
The Stewards fined Noel Meade, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Crassus, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Crassus in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.
274H Curragh Autumn Festival Nursery H'capA.J. Slattery, rider of Graduate Goddess trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was very slowly away from the starting stalls.
R.P. Whelan, rider of Myrcella trained by P.F.McEnery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left in the straight.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Yolo Aris (GB), trained by J.P. Murtagh, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.
