The Stewards enquired into possible interference approxmately 100 yards from the finish involving Speak In Colours (GB), ridden by D. O'Brien, placed first, Beckford (GB), ridden by C.T. Keane, placed fifth, Gordon Lord Byron, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed sixth and Southern Horse (ARG), ridden by K.J. Manning, placed fourth, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action other than to advise C.T. Keane to ride with more care in future.
S. Foley, rider of Flash Gordon trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got checked two and a half furlongs out.
166C Dubai Duty Free Celebration StakesThe Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Flight Risk, ridden by K.J. Manning, placed fifth, Nebo, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed sixth and Wisdom Mind, ridden by D. O'Brien, placed seventh, where it appeared Flight Risk drifted towards the stands when challenging. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Flight Risk had caused interference to Wisdom Mind and in doing so had improved his finishing position. The Stewards therefore reversed the Judge's placings of the fifth and sixth placed horses and took no further action.
166G Dubai Duty Free Irish DerbyThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Broome, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Stewards requested a report from A.P.O'Brien, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Sovereign, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge has shown plenty of ability in the past and appeared to appreciate the front running tactics. He further added that his charge stayed the trip very well. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
166H Dubai Duty Free Creekside EBF H'capW.J. Lee, rider of St Stephens Green trained by Emmet Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
C.D. Hayes, rider of Davids Charm trained by John J. Walsh, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got no run.
