The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

A.P.O'Brien, trainer of Monday (USA) (Off feed) - €200
Jack W. Davison, trainer of No Stopping Her (going - reason not accepted) - €200
J.F. Levins, trainer of Nordic Passage (Going - reason not accepted) - €200
G.M.Lyons, trainer of My Laureate (Going - reason not accepted) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

G. M. Ryan replaced S.P. Davis on Blairmayne, trained by Miss Natalia Lupini (Race 3)(Injured)

266A Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn

The Stewards informed Mark Michael McNiff, trainer, that Secret Vision, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

266B Weld Park Stakes

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Sense Of Style trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount had no luck in running and got no run in the last two furlongs.

266C Heffernan Tyres Joe McGrath H'cap

S. Foley, rider of Not Now Zeb trained by Thomas Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount leaned left under pressure.

266D Mongey Communications Nursery H'cap

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Zozimus, ridden by P.A. Harnett, placed second, Moonhall Girl, ridden by T.P. Madden, placed fourth and Dearg Jazz, ridden by L.T. McAteer, placed first, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judges placings and took no further action.

At the request of the Stewards, R.P. Cleary, rider of No Nay Forever, trained by James M. Barrett, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount suffered an injury and fell independently of any other horse. Having viewed the recording and considered the evidence the Stewards decided that no further action was warranted.

L.T. McAteer, rider of Dearg Jazz trained by James M. Barrett, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount drifted left in the closing stages.

W.J. Lee, rider of Virtual Hug trained by Conor O'Dwyer, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was badly hampered by the faller.

P.A. Harnett, rider of Zozimus trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was carried left in the last fifty yards.

266E Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

Kate Harrington, authorised representative for Mrs John Harrington, trainer of Unknown Pleasures, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her charge was lame post race.

266F Sycamore Lodge Equine Hospital Race

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Mirann (FR), ridden by C.T. Keane, placed fourth, Ebendi, ridden by O.J. Orr, placed second and Golddragon Reef, ridden by S. Foley, placed third, where it appeared that Ebendi drifted right causing Mirann to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that any interference caused was accidental in nature and they took no further action.

266H extra.ie Apprentice H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Sure Cert, trained by Thomas Foley, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

L.T. McAteer, rider of Sure Cert trained by Thomas Foley, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran flat and never travelled.

J.A. Powell, rider of Cobb And Co trained by M.C. Grassick, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left under pressure.

The Stewards interviewed W.T. Byrne, rider of Gregory's Gift, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found W. T. Byrne in breach of Regulation 10.3.G, excessive frequency. Having considered W. T. Byrnes record in this regard the Stewards cautioned him on this occasion.
