062A Alkumait At Castlefield Irish EBF M'dn

S. Foley, rider of Ocean Quest trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was green under pressure.

The Stewards reviewed an incident at around the 200yd marker where it appeared Ocean Quest got tight for room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Stewards interviewed L.F. Roche, rider of Forceful Speed, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of Regulation 10. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that L.F. Roche was in breach of R10.3(i)(time to respond) and having considered his record, they cautioned him on this occasion.

O.J. Orr, rider of Meggy Moo trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount bucked when leaving stalls causing him to get unseated.

062B DMG Media H'cap

The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Ms. J. Walsh, that J.M. Sheridan, rider of Swift Flight (FR), placed second, weighed in at 1.4lbs over the the weight he weighed out at. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted Ms. J. Walsh's report. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion J.M. Sheridan was in breach of Rule 231(iii)(weighing in overweight) and having considered his record in this regard, they cautioned him on this occasion.

062C Cavalor Equine Nutrition (Fillies) M'dn

C.D. Hayes, rider of Try Hard (GB) trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was fractious in the stalls.

062E Lodge Park Stud EBF Park Express Stakes

The Stewards interviewed W.J. Lee, rider of Insinuendo, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he had used his whip excessively. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that W.J.Lee was in breach of R10.3.(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 1 raceday.

062F Paddy Power Irish Lincolnshire

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Bowerman (GB), trained by Adrian McGuinness, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

L.T. McAteer, rider of Yermanthere trained by Patrick T. Foley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount go no run in the last furlong.

062G Barberstown Castle H'cap

The Stewards fined Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer €65 for failing to fit the declared cheek pieces to Jaafel prior to entering the parade ring.

K.J. Manning, rider of Mccabe trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount sustained an injury and was pulled up.

R.C. Colgan, rider of Lily Like (GB) trained by Donal Kinsella, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was fractious in the stalls and was slowly away.

The Stewards interviewed G.P. Halpin, rider of Massaman, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider who stated that his last strike was for corrective purposes as he felt his mount starting to drift. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that G.P. Halpin was in breach of R10.3.(g)(frequency) and R10.3.(i)(time to respond) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 2 racedays.
