The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Martin Paul Fitzgerald, trainer of Assam (GB) (Transport failure) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J.M. Sheridan rode Agent Zero (FR) (reserve) , trained by Denis Gerard Hogan (Race 6)

163A Phoenix Of Spain Irish EBF (F) M'dn

R. Coakley, rider of Merry Maid trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got a bit fractious in the stalls.

163D Irish Stallion Farms EBF (C&G) M'dn

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Agitare, ridden by K.J. Manning, Carrytheone (GB), ridden by S.B. Kelly and Delphi, ridden by W.M. Lordan, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action other than to caution S.B. Kelly to ride with more care in future.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined The Rain King, trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

163E Hanlon Concrete H'cap

G.M. Ryan, rider of Shawaf (GB) trained by Damian Joseph English, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped badly left from stalls.

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Agent Zero (FR) trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount missed the kick.

163F TRM (Fillies) H'cap

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Brook On Fifth, ridden by S.M. Crosse, Lynn Britt Cabin, ridden by C.D. Hayes and Wild Cherry, ridden by S.P. Davis, where it appeared that Lynn Britt Cabin got tight for room and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that S.P. Davis was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard cautioned him.

The Stewards requested a report from Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Music To My Ears, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Joseph Patrick O' Brien reported that his charge ran too keen on its last run. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

The Stewards requested a report from J.P. Murtagh, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Siamese (USA), placed second, as compared with its recent form. J.P. Murtagh reported that his charge ran too fresh and was pulling hard on its last run while she was much more relaxed today. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Brook On Fifth, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

163G Extra.ie Apprentice Derby

A.M. Glynn, rider of Narynkol (GB) trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount he got his whip caught in his mounts mane while changing hands.

The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Narynkol (GB), ridden by A.M. Glynn, and trained by Denis Gerard Hogan. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned and the trainer's Authorised Representative Phil Heenan. A.M. Glynn stated that he was instructed to ride his mount handy to see how he was travelling and to do the best he could. He was happy with how his mount travelled and thought the race went well. A.M. Glynn reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had gotten his whip caught in the horses mane and he stated that this caused him to lose his rhythm, unbalanced him and it was too late when he tried to make a challenge. Phil Heenan confirmed the instructions given to A.M. Glynn and stated that A.M. Glynn is not a strong rider and that this catches the eye, however he was satisfied with the ride given to Narynkol. The Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Narynkol was post race normal. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that D.G. Hogan and A.M. Glynn were in breach of Rule 212 A (ii). Having considered the respective records in this regard, the Stewards fined D.G. Hogan €3000, suspended A.M. Glynn for 12 racedays and ordered that he forfeit his riding fee. The Stewards also suspended Narynkol for 50 days.

163H Anglesey Lodge Equine Hospital (F) M'dn

C.J. McGovern, rider of Shabra's Rock, trained by Anthony McCann, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran too keen early on and clipped a heel.
