R.P. Whelan, rider of Sinawann trained by M.Halford, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount veered right when he hit the front.

The Stewards interviewed A.P.O'Brien, trainer of Amhran Na Bhfiann, Cabot Hills and Persia regarding the late arrival of his horses into the Parade Ring. Evidence was heard from the trainer who stated that he had previous engagements in York today and was combining that meeting with this evening's meeting in the Curragh. Having arrived by helicopter before this race, A.P. O'Brien added that he saddled his horses himself as fast as possible in the old saddling stalls. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanation offered on this occasion and reminded A.P. O'Brien that irrespective of the circumstances he is bound by Rule 32 and it is his responsibility to ensure that his horses parade in a reasonable time before the signal to mount is given. Furthermore, the Stewards advised A.P. O'Brien to allow more time to saddle his horses in future.

233C Sycamore Lodge Equine Hospital M'dn

The Stewards wished to enquire into a breach of Regulation 10.3 (g) by K.J. Manning having viewed a recording of this race. K.J. Manning accepted that he had three previous offences under Regulation 10 since the new whip rules came into effect. Having considered the rider's acceptance of his disciplinary record in relation to Regulation 10, the Stewards in accordance with the provisions of Regulation 10.6 referred the matter to the Referrals' Committee for consideration.

233G TRM Calphormin H'cap

The Stewards interviewed David Peter Nagle, trainer, concerning the failure to nominate a rider before the designated time for Hell Left Loose (GB). Evidence was heard from the trainer who stated that he had booked a rider prior to declarations who subsequently became unavailable. D.P. Nagle contacted the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board at declaration time to explain his situation. D.P. Nagle had difficulties finding a rider to ride at the correct weight and eventually found a suitable rider, Sylvia O' Donnell. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards, in the circumstances, accepted the explanation offered and allowed the nomination of S. O'Donnell to ride Hell Left Loose in this race.

P.A. Harnett, rider of Dandyman Port trained by D. Donovan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slow out of stalls.
