127A Irish EBF Auction Series M'dn

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Apache Outlaw trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped left out of the stalls and also jinked left two furlongs out.

A.J. Slattery, rider of Blue News (USA) trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had to take a check a furlong and a half out.

M.P. Sheehy, rider of Water Mint trained by Joseph G. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away from the stalls.

The Stewards informed Jack W. Davison, trainer that Madakasham Jam, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

127C Heider Family Stables Gallinule Stakes

The Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the two furlong marker involving Boundless Ocean, ridden by K.J. Manning, placed third, Hannibal Barca, ridden by S.M. Crosse, placed first, Lyrical Poetry, ridden by B.M. Coen, placed second, and Seisai, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, placed fourth, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. K.J. Manning stated that things got tight when he was trying to get into a gap. S.M. Crosse stated that his mount started to lean towards the rail when he hit the front. B.M. Coen stated that his mount leaned left inside the furlong pole. D.P. McDonogh stated that he received pressure from both sides. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judges placings and took no further action.

K.J. Manning, rider of Boundless Ocean trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he got tight for room inside the last furlong.

S.M. Crosse, rider of Hannibal Barca trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount rolled around in front and ducked right inside the final furlong.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Seisai trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was tight for room in the last furlong.

The Stewards interviewed B.M. Coen, rider of Lyrical Poetry, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he had used his whip excessively. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that B.M. Coen was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 1 raceday.

127D William Hill Emerald Mile H'cap

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Star Harbour trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room at the halfway mark.

The Stewards interviewed B.M. Coen, rider of Pierre Lapin, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he had used his whip above the recommended guidelines. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that B.M. Coen was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 2 racedays.

127E Cavalor Equine Nutrition Irish EBF M'dn

The Stewards interviewed B.M. Coen, rider of Navagio, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that two of the strikes were for corrective purposes as his mount was hanging. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that B.M. Coen was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency). Having considered his record and pursuant to R10.6(a), they suspended him for 6 racedays.

The Stewards informed Miss Katy Brown, trainer that Ballysax Lil' Mick, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

The Stewards informed A.P.O'Brien, trainer that Middlemarch, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

127G William Hill Play Irish EBF (F) M'dn

S. Foley, rider of Lopes Gold trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped right from the stalls.

127H William Hill Scratch Of The Day H'cap

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Flying Scotsman trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room in the straight.
