The Stewards interviewed Niall Thomas Egan, trainer, concerning the failure to nominate a rider before the designated time for Elzaamone. Evidence was heard from the trainer who stated that it was a complete oversight on his part and that he had realised his error when the deadline to nominate his rider had passed. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Niall Thomas Egan was in breach of Rule 195(i) and cautioned him on this occasion having taken his previous record into consideration.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Aloysius Lilius, trained by Gerard O'Leary, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
