The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

M.D. O'Callaghan, trainer of I Am Magnetic (Off feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

B.M. Coen replaced S.B. Kelly on Perfect Match, trained by J.P. Murtagh (Race 1)(Unwell)
M.A. Gallagher replaced S.M. Crosse on Summer Sands (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien (Race 2)(Rider administration error)

293A Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn

The Stewards fined Andrew Slattery, trainer, €130 for failing to notify the Registry Office or RAS that his charge Powerstown had been gelded

R. Coakley, rider of Grigadale trained by Jarlath P.Fahey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount leaned right briefly at the three furlong marker.

293C Equilux Scientifically Proven H'cap

A.J. Slattery, rider of Sors trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right during this race.

293D1 Equilux Works Or Your Money Back H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Secret Sea, trained by John M. Oxx, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

S. Foley, rider of Pretty Rebel trained by Gerard O'Leary, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran green when she took the lead.

293D2 Equilux Works Or Your Money Back H'cap

The Stewards requested a report from Aidan Anthony Howard, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Tyrion's Dream, placed first, as compared with its recent form on two runs in handicaps. The trainer reported that C.D. Hayes who rode this animal the last day suggested that he may be better suited to making the running. This tactic was used today where his charge jumped out of stalls smartly, soon led and maintained a good gallop to the finish. In his opinion this was the sole reason for the improved performance. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Navorrosse trained by P.A.Fahy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

293E Equilux Costs Less Than 2 A Week M'dn

The Stewards interviewed E.J. McNamara, rider of Greek Gladiator, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that E.J. McNamara was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended E.J. McNamara for 4 racedays. The Stewards also interviewed E.J. McNamara in relation to his failure to obey a request to attend this enquiry which was deferred until after the last race as a result of his actions. Following his explanation and apology, the Stewards reminded E.J. McNamara concerning his responsibility to comply with the requests of any Official in accordance with Rule 13(b).

293F Try Equilux Risk Free Hcap

R.P. Whelan, rider of Winston Wolfe trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran short of room on the turn into the straight and again between the two and one furlong markers.

M.P. Sheehy, rider of Grace To Grace trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was short of room at the bottom of the straight.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Bolero trained by H.Rogers, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left throughout this race.

K.J. Manning, rider of Wexford Dawn trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount met with interference on the turn into the straight.
