Cork Chases Abandoned

05 January 2007 Cork Chases Abandoned

The Turf Club has announced that, following an inspection of the steeplechase course at Cork earlier today, the course was found to be unfit for racing ahead of the fixture there on Saturday, 6th January. The two steeplechases, the McCarthy Insurance Group Handicap Steeplechase and the Coolagown Stud European Breeders Fund Mares Beginners Steeplechase, have both therefore been abandoned. The ground on the hurdle and bumper track is currently soft to heavy.
