The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

D. O'Brien replaced J.A. Heffernan on Passion, trained by A.P.O'Brien (Race 1)(Stewards Permission).
W. M. Lordan replaced M.A. Gallagher on Ruby Max, trained by Miss Evanna McCutcheon (Race 2)(Injured)
R. C. Colgan replaced M.A. Gallagher on Bye Bye Brussels, trained by A.J. McNamara (Race 5)(Injured)
J. M. Sheridan rode Rudisha (reserve), trained by Denis Gerard Hogan (Race 5).

245B Matchbook Irish EBF (Fillies) M'dn

W.J. Lee, rider of Truth Prevails (GB) trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right from two and a half furlongs out.

The Stewards received a report from Mr. P. L. Malone, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that B.M. Coen, rider of Silver Spear, had weighed in at 1.3 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that B. M. Coen was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his record, they cautioned him on this occasion. B. M. Coen was accompanied by Andrew Slattery at this enquiry.

245C Matchbook Straight Seven Fillies M'dn

N.M. Crosse, rider of Royal Canford trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly left for the last two furlongs.

S.M. Crosse, rider of Lovee Dovee (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung badly.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Abanica (GB), ridden by W.M. Lordan, placed fourth and Lovee Dovee (GB), ridden by S.M. Crosse, placed second, where it appeared that Lovee Dovee drifted left causing Abanica to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found S. M. Crosse in breach of rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended S.M. Crosse for one race day. S. M. Crosse was accompanied by Mrs. Crosse at this enquiry.

The Stewards interviewed S. Foley, rider of Silence Please, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that one strike with the whip was for correctional purposes and the rider was therefore not in breach of Regulation 10.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Royal County Down, ridden by D. O'Brien, placed fifth, Silence Please, ridden by S. Foley, placed first, Marchons Ensemble (GB), ridden by C.T. Keane, placed sixth, Mythologic, ridden by W.M. Lordan, placed fourth and Ampeson (GB), ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed third, where it appeared that Silence Please drifted right causing Mythologic to check and Ampeson drifted left causing Royal County Down to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference was unintentional and therefore took no further action. Mr. E. Irwin, Acting Steward, absented himself from this enquiry.

The Stewards informed F.Costello, trainer of An Cait Dubh, that a repeat performance from his charge, who refused to leave the stalls, may render it liable for a suspension.

The Stewards interviewed G.P. Halpin, rider of Art Of Unity (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found G.P. Halpin in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they suspended him for one raceday.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Stanhope (GB) trained by Damian Joseph English, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost his action.

245G Sean Barrett Bloodstock Insurance M'dn

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Hazran, ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed second, Modred, ridden by C.D. Hayes, unplaced, All Our Tomorrows, ridden by O.J. Orr, placed sixth and Firey Flower, ridden by B.M. Coen, unplaced, where it appeared Modred and All our Tomorrows made contact several times. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action.
