The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

T. N. Brett rode Orcadian Symphony (reserve), trained by L.Young (Race 4)

309A RED MILLS Irish EBF Auction M'dn H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Frontier General, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Frontier General trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped very quickly.

309B BetVictor Irish EBF Novice H'dle

The Stewards interviewed T. Ryan, rider of Dedanann, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he had used his whip excessively and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that T. Ryan was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record they cautioned him on this occasion.

D.E. Mullins, rider of The Dara Man trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel. This was subsequently confirmed by the I.H.R.B Veterinary Officer.

309C Thank You To The Frontline H'cap H'dle

The Stewards fined Norman Lee, trainer, €65, for fitting blinkers to his charge Not So Simple, which were not declared. The Stewards subsequently ordered their removal.

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Getaday trained by T.J. Nagle Jr., reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right throughout.

C.A. Landers, rider of Tribelle trained by J.R.Finn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly after leaning right turning into the straight.

309D Fermoy H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed I.J. Power, rider of More Wine Lilly, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he had used his whip excessively and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that I.J. Power was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record they suspended him for 2 racedays.

G.B. Noonan, rider of Rathnaleen Tou trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel in running. This was subsequently confirmed by the I.H.R.B Veterinary Officer.

The Stewards interviewed C. Brassil, rider of All The Chimneys, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach both of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and 10.3(h)(arm above shoulder height). Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended C. Brassil for 8 racedays.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined One Down, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
