Following an inspection of the steeplechase course at Clonmel this morning, the track was found to be unfit for racing ahead of tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon’s fixture.  The two steeplechases down for decision – the Powerstown Chase and the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Chase – have therefore been abandoned.  

The ground on the hurdle and bumper track at Clonmel is currently soft to heavy.
