149A Powerstown Park Beginners S'chase

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident after the turn into the straight on the final circuit involving Darkened, ridden by P.K. Donovan, placed fourth, Takarengo, ridden by J.B. Foley, placed second, and Top Speed, ridden by H. Morgan, placed fifth, where it appeared that the riding was very tight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, H. Morgan, rider of Top Speed, trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stopped quickly.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Top Speed, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

149C Bulmers Original Beginners S'chase

D.J Gilligan, rider of Britzka, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left turning into the straight.

R.A. Doyle, rider of Clondaw Hollow (GB), placed third, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Clondaw Hollow (GB) trained by John C. McConnell was noted to have blood at both nostrils post race.

149D Bulmers Zero (QR) H'cap S'chase

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the downhill run on the final circuit involving Francois (FR), ridden by Mr B. Dunleavy, Willywampus, ridden by Mr A.P. Ryan, and Withallduerespect, ridden by Mr P.A. King where it appeared that Willywampus was tight for room between horses. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, Mr A.P. Ryan stated that his mount was struggling to hold his position when receiving pressure and contact from both sides. Mr P.A. King stated that he was riding close to the running rail but his mount was leaning out a little. Mr B. Dunleavy stated that his mount was maintaining an even racing line when receiving a bump from Willywampus. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at the bottom of the hill on the final circuit involving Francois (FR), ridden by Mr B. Dunleavy, and Withallduerespect, ridden by Mr P.A. King where it appeared that Withallduerespect was tight for room and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, Mr P.A. King stated that his mount was leaning out a little from the rails but got pressure from Francois (FR). Mr B. Dunleavy stated that his mount was leaning in a little and got unbalanced for a stride but was quickly corrected. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found that Mr B. Dunleavy was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered his record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended Mr B. Dunleavy for one raceday.

149E Bulmers Light Beginners S'chase

J.G. Gilligan, rider of Bonne Derreen, trained by Mark John Scallan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was coughing after pulling up during this race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Kilballyowen, trained by A.J.Martin, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on his left hind having been struck into behind.

149F Clonmel Show July 2nd H'cap S'chase

The Raceday Stewards fined John Patrick Ryan, trainer €65 for failing fit the declared blinkers to Cluan Dara, prior to entering the parade ring.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Cornhill Lass trained by E.Sheehy was noted to have blood at both nostrils post race.

R.J. Condon, rider of Cornhill Lass, trained by E.Sheehy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel.

S. O'Callaghan, rider of Repeat That, trained by Michael Butler, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered by a faller at the second last fence.
