The Raceday Stewards informed John Joseph Hanlon, trainer, that a repeat performance by No Knee Never who refused to race may render the animal liable for suspension.
Daniel King, rider of Autumn Twist, trained by D.G. Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his saddle slipped at the sixth hurdle.
086B Knocklofty M'dn H'dleD. Robinson, rider of Gatehouse Boy, trained by P. J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk Of The Scales that his mount never travelled and didn't handle the track.
086G Happy Easter INH Flat RaceThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the bend past the stands involving Lion Of The Desert. ridden by Mr. G. Abbas, unplaced, Nohilltoosteep, ridden by Mr. S. Cottrill unplaced, Red Or White, ridden by Mr. B. Barry, unplaced, Sharp As Glass, ridden by Mr. D. Doyle, placed fifth. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. G. Abbas stated that he got tight for room from his outside causing him to check badly. Mr. S. Cottrill stated that he was carried left by Lord Of The Desert. Mr. D. Doyle stated that he was carried left by the horses on his inside on the bend past the stands. Mr. B. Barry stated that he was aware that there was a horse on his inside but thought he had left sufficient room. Having viewed a recording of the incident and considered the evidence, The Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr. B. Barry was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and in considering his clean record in this regard they suspended him for two racedays.
Mr. D. Doyle, rider of Sharp As Glass, trained by S. Curling, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he got hampered on the bend past the stands.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Alaskan View, trained by W.J. Martin, had blood in her mouth post race having bitten her tongue.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed Robert Guiney, rider of Astley, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied the rider was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and R10.3(i)(time to respond) and having considered his clean record, they suspended him for ten racedays.
086H Botanica International M'dn H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Hello Jack, trained by G. Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards prior to the race and reported the animal to be lame on its left hind. The animal was subsequently withdrawn.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Kofino(FR) trained by John Joseph Hanlon was found to have blood at both nostrils post race.
