The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Sun Never Sets (USA), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Sun Never Sets (USA), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

180B Champion Lettings H'cap

J.J.G. Ryan, rider of Qalahari Queen, trained by T.G. McCourt, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right.

A.C. Persse, rider of Cletus, trained by Eoin Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost its action and was pulled up.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the final furlong involving Hope And Innocence, ridden by C. Geerdharry, placed fourth and Fleetfootsoldier, ridden by N.M. Crosse, placed first, where it appeared interference took place. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence C. Geerdharry stated that he received a small bump after the road crossing. N.M. Crosse stated that his mount became unbalanced at the road crossing and shifted slightly left. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Fleetfootsoldier had caused interference to Hope And Innocence he did not improve his finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action.

N.M. Crosse, rider of Fleetfootsoldier, trained by Kevin Thomas Coleman, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around in the straight.

The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Gosford, trained by Edward Lynam, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

180C1 Peadar Kearney's Pub H'cap

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference close to the finish involving Scarlet Dancer, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, placed third, Rampage, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan, placed second and What Adaay (GB), ridden by D. McMonagle, placed first, where it appeared interference took place. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence J.M. Sheridan stated that he went for a gap on the inside but that the gap closed in front of him close to the line. J.J.G. Ryan stated that he had his whip in his correct hand and felt that he did all he could to keep straight. D. McMonagle stated that his mount was wearing cheek-pieces for the first time, idled in front and leaned left close to the finish line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Rampage had caused interference to Scarlet Dancer he did not improve his finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.J.G. Ryan, rider of Rampage, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. J.J.G. Ryan accepted he was in breach of the Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found J.J.G. Ryan in breach of R.10.3(h)(arm above shoulder height) and having considered his record in this regard, they cautioned him on this occasion.

Adam Caffrey, rider of Tack (FR), trained by E.D. Delany, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount reared up as the stalls opened.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Atbay, trained by Mark Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had no run.

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Navorrosse, trained by James McAuley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had no run in the straight.

180D Irish EBF Auction Series M'dn

S. Foley, rider of G'day Mate (GB), trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stumbled leaving the stalls and went left.

180E Indaver Ireland H'cap

The Raceday Stewards interviewed C. Ngcobo, rider of Only Spoofing, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. C. Ngcobo accepted that he was in breach of the Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found C. Ngcobo in breach of R.10.3(i)( time to respond) and having considered his record in this regard, they cautioned him on this occasion.

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Tai Sing Yeh, trained by James McAuley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received pressure from his outside in the first furlong.

180F McNally's Pharmacy 365 H'cap

The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Dinamine, trained by John C. McConnell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Subsequently J.C. McConnell, trainer, reported that Dinamine had scoped wrong post race.

R. Whearty, rider of Dubai Clover, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was pushed wide off the bottom bend.

J.A. Powell, rider of Portarlington, trained by David Kenneth Budds, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received pressure from its outside at the road crossing.

Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Bolero, trained by H. Rogers, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that she had to take a check in the back straight.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Ballybaun Star, trained by Thomas Gibney, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was very slowly away.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Must B Art, trained by Patrick Martin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran too keenly.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from C.W.J. Farrell, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Fire Coral (GB), placed second, as compared with its recent form. C.W.J. Farrell stated that the slightly better ground with a step up in trip coupled with the fact she has recently been trained from the field had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form today. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.
