The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Lovejoy, trained by W. McCreery, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, W.J. Lee, rider of Lovejoy, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hit a ridge and became unbalanced.
