265B Ir. Stall. Farms EBF (Mares) M'dn H'dle

Mr B. O'Neill, rider of Fort Worth Texas trained by Colin Bowe, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his saddle slipped at about half way during this race.

Under the provisions of Rule 90, the Stewards allowed Lady Maureen, trained by S.R.B. Crawford, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the error identified in the certification of vaccinations would be corrected in accordance with Rule 91 within the timeframe specified.

265C Paddy Smyth Memorial H'cap H'dle

The Stewards wished to enquire into the running and riding of Helly Hansum, ridden by T. Ryan, and trained by Denis Gerard Hogan. Prior to seeking evidence, John Dunne, representing Mr Hogan, stated that the trainer was not present but believed that he had him registered as an Authorised representative. Mr Dunne accepted that the IHRB register of Authorised representatives did not include his name. He also confirmed that a temporary registration form had not been lodged with the Clerk of the Scales. The Stewards were unable to proceed with this enquiry and referred the matter to the Referrals Committee. Furthermore, having considered the admission by John Dunne that he was not a registered Authorised representative in accordance with the provisions of Rule 147 (v), the Stewards referred this matter to the Referrals Committee

S.F. O'Keeffe, rider of Shes Gold trained by Thomas Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped very quickly.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Helly Hansum, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have presented with a skin abrasion on her right hind cannon otherwise was post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Youngnedofthehill, trained by Shane Nolan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Oskar High, trained by Norman Lee, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

265D P&D Lydon Irish EBF (Mares) H'cap H'dle

P.T. Enright, rider of Gotthenod trained by Mrs D.A.Love, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up having never travelled during this race.

A. McCurtin, rider of Tell Me Annie trained by Declan Queally, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount pulled up during this race and was noted to have sustained a cut to a foreleg.

265E Tuam Herald H'cap H'dle

Mr C. Cullinan, rider of Humps And Bumps trained by Peter Croke, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his saddle slipped about one furlong from the finish.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Monsieur Bagot, trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Stewards and reported that the animal was found to have blood on the nose as a result of exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage.

The Stewards interviewed Mr C. Cullinan, rider of Humps And Bumps, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the the opinion that Mr C. Cullinan was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned Mr C. Cullinan on this occasion.

The Stewards fined V. T. O'Brien, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Ard Cregg, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Ard Cregg in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.

265F Eamon Sheridan Groundworks S'chase

Under the provisions of Rule 90, the Stewards allowed Cloudy Morning, trained by Declan Queally, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the error identified in the certification of vaccinations would be corrected in accordance with Rule 91 within the timeframe specified.

265G Adare Manor Opportunity H'cap S'chase

The Stewards enquired into possible interference after the last fence involving Well Joey, ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, placed first and Captain Cobajay, ridden by S.D. Torrens, placed second, where it appeared that Well Joey came across into the racing line of Captain Cobajay. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings. The were, however, of the opinion that the interference was caused by D.J. O'Keeffe riding carelessly and suspended him for 2 racedays.
