The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the final furlong involving D Art D Art (FR), ridden by R.A. Doyle, placed first, and Hiddenvalley Lake, ridden by K.M. Donoghue, placed second, where it appeared these horses bumped twice. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R.A. Doyle stated that both horses met each other but they did their best to keep straight. There was a little bit of interference but it made no difference and his mount was the best horse on the day. K.M. Donoghue stated that he had his stick in his left hand and from the road crossing he kept a straight line when four or five strides from the line his mount got bumped. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings and did not apportion blame to any rider, and therefore took no further action.
