The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

R.A. Doyle replaced C. Brassil on Rockstown Girl, trained by Anthony McCann (Race 6)(injured).

397B Tintern Trails H'cap S'chase

G. Brouder, rider of Be Fierce, trained by T.M. Walsh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and pulled up.

397C Duncannon Beach H'cap S'chase

The Raceday Stewards granted a request from John Joseph Hanlon, trainer of Ahellofaman and Miss Oreo, for an additional ten minutes to present his horses for identification by an IHRB Official as per the provisions of Rule 90(i).

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Shannon Bank, trained by Andrew Kinirons, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

397D Adare Manor Opportunity H'cap S'chase

The Raceday Stewards interviewed C.G. O'Dwyer, rider of Teenage Kiss, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned and photographic evidence was shown by the IHRB Veterinary Officer. C.G. O'Dwyer accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulations and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that C.G. O'Dwyer was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and R.10.3(f)(force). Having considered his clean record in both these regards, they suspended him for two racedays regarding R.10.3(g) and two racedays regarding R.10.3(f).

A.P. Kelly, rider of Sammy Smart (GB), trained by Thomas Gibney, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his leather snapped after jumping the third last and he pulled up.

L.A. McKenna, rider of Riggs, trained by P.Cluskey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and pulled up.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed C.P. Millar, rider of Rue Taylor (FR), concerning his use of the whip throughout this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation and stated that his mount was responding to his whip use and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that C.P. Millar was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard (second offence), they suspended him for five racedays.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Paul Nolan, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Rue Taylor (FR), placed first, as compared with its recent form. Paul Nolan, through his Authorised Representative reported that his charge was having his first run in a handicap which may have contributed to the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given.

397F Support The Irish Injured Beginners S'ch

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Silver Salute trained by Ian Patrick Donoghue was found to have blood at both nostrils post race.

K.M. Donoghue, rider of In The Trenches (GB), trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount banked the first fence and lost its action.

Josh Williamson, rider of Silver Salute, trained by Ian Patrick Donoghue, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel.

397G Racing Again July 3rd Rated Novice S'cha

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Chichester Park (GB), trained by A.J.Martin, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, J.J. Slevin, rider of Chichester Park (GB), trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was hampered at the third fence causing him to lose his position and he kept on one paced in the closing stages.
