185A Follow Tote On X Claiming RaceJ.M. Sheridan, rider of Persian Bliss (GB), trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount refused to load.
The Raceday Stewards informed Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer that Persian Bliss (GB), would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
185B Waterford Castle And Resort Style M'dnThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Big Dispute, trained by Kevin Thomas Coleman, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Kimy (FR) trained by Thomas Mullins had blood at both nostrils post race.
185D Tote Tramore Derby H'capP.A. Harnett, rider of Chopsticks, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel. The IHRB Veterinary Officer confirmed the animal had blood at both nostrils post race.
J.S. Dalton, rider of Vervain, trained by David Harry Kelly, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got carried wide on the bottom bend.
L.T. McAteer, rider of Plus Or Minus, trained by P.A.Fahy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was very unbalanced throughout.
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Henry de Bromhead, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Churchwarden, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Henry de Bromhead said the first time blinkers helped bring about the improved performance from his charge. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content.
185F August Festival Early Bird Packages HcapThe Raceday Stewards requested a report from William Delahunty, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Voice Of Reason, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that the step up in trip helped bring about the improvement from his charge. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content.
S.T. McCullagh, rider of Carthusian, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount put his head down as the gates opened.
J.S. Dalton, rider of Nelson Muntz, trained by David Harry Kelly, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left under pressure.
R.M Mulligan, rider of Must Meet Cecil, trained by Cian Collins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stumbled leaving the back straight.
185G August Festival August 13th - 16th H'capThe Raceday Stewards interviewed J. Pietropaolo, rider of Synchronize, trained by J. Morrison, concerning his riding inside the last 100 yards where it appeared he stopped riding possibly losing out out on fifth place as a result. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who said his horse had no more to give and he didn't want to keep at the horse. He further added that his riding made no difference to the finishing result. Having viewed the recording and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied the rider was in breach of Rule 212A(iv)(a) by stopping riding and losing out on a better place and having considered his clean record, they suspended him for four racedays and ordered him to forfeit his riding fee. J. Pietropaolo was accompanied in this enquiry by Mr. Darren Pratt.
