The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Anna McGuinness rode Not So Serious (reserve) trained by W.J.Lanigan (Race 5)
J.J. Slevin replaced C.M. Quirke on Big Island, trained by W.J.Lanigan (Race 1)(injured)
D.E. Mullins replaced C.M. Quirke on Nelson Muntz, trained by David Harry Kelly (Race 2)(injured)
D.J. Gilligan replaced C.M. Quirke on Femme Magnifique, trained by David Harry Kelly (Race 3)(injured)

142A Get A Free Month Trial Racing TV Beg Sch

The Raceday Stewards granted a request from Mr. John Patrick Ryan, trainer of Butterfly Mountain and Huntsgrove for an additional ten minutes to present his charges for identification by an IHRB Official as provided for under the provisions of Rule 90(i).

D. King, rider of Huntsgrove, trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was nearly brought down by a faller at the first fence and pulled up after the second fence.

142C Walsh King Accountants H'cap S'chase

K.M. Donoghue, rider of Stuntman Steve, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his stirrup leather broke and pulled up.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed David Harry Kelly, trainer, and D.J. Gilligan, rider, where it appeared that their charge Femme Magnifique turned back and exited the parade ring when mounted. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that at times the mare can be difficult and they wanted to get out quickly. D.J. Gilligan stated that another horse had turned back and his mare can be dificult at times. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found both David Harry Kelly and D.J. Gilligan in breach of Regulation 16 and in considering their clean records in this regard they fined them both €100.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed David O'Sullivan, trainer, and P.J. O'Hanlon, rider, of Itsalonglongroad, where it appeared that Itsalonglongroad had turned back and exited the parade ring. David O'Sullivan stated that he took full responsibility as he instructed his employee to turn back to get an earlier exit from the parade ring. P.J. O'Hanlon confirmed what David O'Sullivan had stated. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found David O'Sullivan was in breach of Regulation 16 and in considering his clean record in this regard they fined him €100.

142D Success Days At Kilbarry (M) M'dn H'dle

P. Townend, rider of Luciole Des Bordes (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran too free.

142E Tramore H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident on the downhill part of the course on the first circuit involving Evening's Empire, ridden by Sam Ewing, and Cruisin Susan, ridden by Mr J.P. Berry, where it appeared Cruisin Susan was carried very wide by Evening's Empire. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

Sam Ewing, rider of Evening's Empire, trained by James M. Barcoe, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung violently left and pulled up.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed the first approach to the start and were satisfied no further action was warranted.

142F Graun Hill Suite Hospitality H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the downhill turn afterr the third last hurdle involving Playtime (GB), ridden by J. Smith, and Eastmore (GB), ridden by P. Byrnes where it appeared both horses made contact. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J. Smith stated that he felt pressure from his outside as he made progress between the leaders. P. Byrnes stated that his mount felt pressure from his inside that turned his mount inward. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied to take no further action.

J. Smith, rider of Playtime (GB), trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount met with interference turning down the back straight.

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Stepdance, trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a few bad mistakes and pulled up.

Josh Williamson, rider of Figero, trained by Thomas Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran keen and ran onto heels. The Raceday Stewards reviewed the footage and were satisfied no further action was warranted.

142G August Festival (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

The Raceday Stewards granted a request from L.J. Archdeacon, trainer of Lincoln Mill, for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification by an IHRB Official as provided for under the provisions of Rule 90(i).

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the bend after the finish line on the first circuit involving Game Shadow, ridden by Ms J.I. Stokes, and Oops A Daisy, ridden by Ms E.J. Kavanagh where it appeared contact was made between them. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Ms. E.J. Kavanagh stated that she received a bump from her inside. Ms J.I. Stokes stated that her mount was a difficult ride and jinked left at that point of the bend. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied to take no further action.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Miss E. Cody, rider of Distraction, trained by David A. Kiely, concerning the fact she appeared to stop riding costing her a better placing. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that she agreed that it appeared that she stopped riding before the finish line costing her fifth place. Having viewed the recording and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found Miss E. Cody was in breach of Rule 212 (iv)(a) and in considering her clean record in this regard they suspended her for two racedays.

Miss J. Townend, rider of Highlander Addict, trained by Patrick J.Flynn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount ran too keen early on.
