The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

S. F. O'Keeffe replaced P. Townend on Arslan (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins (Race 1)(injured).
D.E. Mullins replaced P. Townend on Did I Ask You That, trained by W.P. Mullins (Race 3)(injured).
J. P. Shinnick replaced P. Townend on Champ Kiely, trained by W.P. Mullins (Race 5)(injured).
E. Staples replaced Michael Kenneally on Likable Chancer, trained by Daniel John Howard (Race 7)(stood down).

002A David Flynn Construction M'dn H'dle

R.A. Berry, rider of Ballyteigue Bay, trained by J.A.Berry, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel. This was subsequently confirmed by the IHRB Veterinary Officer who reported the animal to have blood at both nostrils on examination post race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ehteyat (GER), trained by M.K.Flannery, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at both nostrils post race.

D.E. Mullins, rider of Ehteyat (GER), trained by M.K.Flannery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he eased his mount after the last.

002B Jimmy Shanahan Memorial H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Ms. Steph Searle, Authourised representative on the day for trainer Anthony McCann, and S.W. Flanagan, jockey of Luminous Light (GB), concerning the conduct of Luminous Light who refused to race. In her evidence Ms. Steph Searle stated that maybe the track didn't suit and that the horse may prefer more open tracks. S.W. Flanagan stated that he was disappointed with his mounts conduct today. Having viewed a recording of the start and considering the animal's previous record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended Luminous Light for 30 days in accordance with the provisions of Rule 14.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Kentucky Beach (FR), trained by P.J. Rothwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

002C Ryans Cleaning Services M'dn H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Did I Ask You That, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Gordon Elliott, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of American Jukebox, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Gordon Elliott stated through his representative that the addition of cheekpieces may have brought about todays' apparent improvement of form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the report given.

002D Tramore Medical Clinic H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Pebble Bleu, trained by Colin Motherway, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

002E O'Driscoll's Irish Whiskey S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Champ Kiely, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

002F SIS Supp. Irish Racing Rated Novice S'ch

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Butter Fingers trained by Ross O'Sullivan had blood at both nostrils post race.

002G Tom Carroll Memorial H'cap S'chase

T. Power Roche, rider of Duffys Hodey, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount slipped coming down the hill.

Kevin Healy, rider of College Causeway, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got hampered by the faller and hung out to the left.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The following Raceday Stewards acted on behalf of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board at this race meeting:

The Raceday Stewards, pursuant to the provisions of Rule 29, appointed Mr. M. King as security officer at this meeting.

The Raceday Stewards received a report from Mr. Peter Keane, a parking attendant on the day, that he received serious verbal abuse from rider L. Quinlan. Evidence was heard from Mr. Peter Keane who stated that on informing L. Quinlan that the car park was full he received continual serious verbal abuse. Evidence was also heard from L. Quinlan who stated that he attempted to park in what he deemed to be the jockeys carpark, however Mr Keane advised him that the carpark was full. He further stated that he was not really abusive. Having considered the matter the Raceday Stewards found L. Quinlan to be in breach of Rule 272 and having considered his clean record in this regard, they fined him €250 on this occasion.
