The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages, involving Methgal, ridden by C. Cusack, La La Lucrative, ridden by R.C. Colgan and Toy Soldier ridden by D. Browne McMonagle, where it appeared that Methgal made contact with La La Lucrative and later with Toy Soldier. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C. R.C. Colgan stated that he momentarily became short of room when contact was made from his inside. D. Browne McMonagle stated that he suffered interference from his inside but pointed out that Methgal appeared to be a difficult ride and that the rider was trying to correct his mount. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found C. Cusack, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his clean record in this regard they suspended him for two racedays. Senior Rider C.D Hayes accompanied C. Cusack at this enquiry.

Joyce, where it appeared Second Line got tight for room when the starting stalls opened. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Emmet Mullins, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Vantage Code, placed second, as compared with it's recent form. Emmet Mullins stated that a drop in weights and a change in tactics today may have brought about the apparent improvement in form.
