The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J.W. Kennedy, rider of Deep Water Bay (GB), trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount finished lame.

The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Deep Water Bay (GB), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race.

The Raceday Stewards granted permission for Mo Ghille Mar, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, to run without its declared tongue strap in this race.

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Ill Raise A Glass, trained by Martin Paul Fitzgerald, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left in the straight.

P. Townend, rider of Poetisa, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung and jumped left.

The Raceday Stewards granted a request from John C. McConnell, trainer of Danny The Champ for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification by an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(i).

Owing to the low lying sun, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for hurdle number four to be omitted from this race.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J. Smith, the declared rider of Kinturk Nelson, regarding his failure to present to the the scales necessitating a change of rider. J. Smith said he left the lights on in his car and he had to wait until he got someone to come and give him a jump start. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted his explanation.

G. Brouder, rider of Potters Pal (FR), trained by Thomas Cooper, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran too free.

The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Lord Tobin (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards fined Garrett James Power, trainer €65 for failing to fit the declared cheek pieces to Mahler Appeal prior to entering the parade ring.

The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Fastnet Crystal, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have slight grazes on its left hind fetlock but was otherwise post race normal.

Mr F. Maguire, rider of Fastnet Crystal, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled, stopped quickly and made an abnormal respiratory noise in running.
