The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

P. Hanlon, rider of Hello Garda, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout.

The Raceday Stewards received a report from Mrs. P. Hassett, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that R.A. Doyle, rider of Chairmanforlife (FR), weighed in at 1.5 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from R.A. Doyle, who stated that he was unable to explain the discrepancy in the weights. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that R.A. Doyle was in breach of Rule 231(iii) and having considered his record in this regard (second offence) they suspended him for two racedays.

The Raceday Stewards observed staff of J. Queally, trainer, remaining on the track during the running of the race after they had assisted with Danny Power going to the start. Having considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards reminded J. Queally of his responsibilities in this regard.

D.E. Mullins, rider of How's Ellie, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount suffered significant interference at halfway.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at the halfway point involving Radiator Springs, ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, How's Ellie, ridden by D.E. Mullins, and Regards To Rose, ridden by T.E. O'Connor where it appeared How's Ellie ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D.E. Mullins stated that it got very tight for room on the bend past the stands. T.E. O'Connor stated that he felt there was enough room after the hurdle but the gap closed as they rounded the bend. D.J. O'Keeffe stated that he felt he maintained his line around the bend. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found T.E. O'Connor was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard (second offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended him for four racedays.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Splashing Out, ridden by P.T. Smithers, placed fifth, and Shirzan, ridden by Cian Cullinan, placed second, where it appeared interference occured. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. P.T. Smithers stated that he suffered interference from his left on the run to the line. Cian Cullinan stated that he was unaware that there was a horse on his outside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Shirzan had caused interference to Splashing Out in that he did not improve his finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. They were, however, of the opinion that Cian Cullinan, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays.

The Raceday Stewards wished to enquire into several approaches to the start by all the riders with the exception of P.T. Enright but due to technical issues with the video and audio footage the Raceday Stewards referred the matter to a Senior Racing Official under the provisions of Rule 14(ii)(b).

C.M Hogan, rider of Urra Mass Rock, trained by E.Seymour, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not let herself down on the ground.

K.M. Donoghue, rider of Luker's Tipple, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount struck into himself and was pulled up. The IHRB Veterinary Officer confirmed Luker's Tipple had injured his right fore leg.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Sky Lord (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. D.J. O'Keeffe accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found D.J. O'Keeffe was in breach of R.10.3 (i) (time to respond) and having considered his clean record in this regard they suspended him for two racedays.

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Coming Up Easy, trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he pulled up his mount and dismounted. The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Coming Up Easy and reported the animal to be sore post race.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Barry Connell, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Net Boy (FR), placed first, as compared with his most recent run. Barry Connell stated that Net Boy lost a shoe on his previous start. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content.

Mr E.P. O'Brien, rider of Boomtown Rock, trained by Richard Hennessy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was green early on and stayed on late in the race.
