324A PwC (Mares) M'dn H'dle

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, Mr C.W. Reddy, rider of B Da Powders, trained by Declan Queally, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount gave a blow at the fourth last and when he asked her for extra effort there was no responce so he nursed her home at that stage.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, P.K. Donovan, rider of Cockney Cleopatra, trained by P.M.J.Doyle, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount is a really difficult filly. He added she jumped the first awkwardly and as she fell on her only other start he rode her to get a clear run and finish out her race.

S.D. Torrens, rider of Chicago Calling, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran very green.

324B Irish Wire Products (C&G) M'dn H'dle

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident after jumping the last with a circuit to go involving Ard Raithin, ridden by S. Fitzgerald, Beckistine, ridden by L.A. McKenna, Themanintheanorak, ridden by J.J. Slevin, and Torps, ridden by S.W. Flanagan where it appeared Ard Raithin got tight for room on the rails after getting pressure from the horses on his outside. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. Fitzgerald, L.A. McKenna, and J.J. Slevin all said they received pressure from their left. S.W. Flanagan felt he was clear of the other runners and didn't cause interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.

324D John Thomas McNamara (QR) H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Zolpharine, trained by John Patrick Ryan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

324E BOYLE Sports Munster National H'cap S'ch

J.W. Kennedy, rider of Boston Rover, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount didn't handle the ground.

Michael Kenneally, rider of Talk In The Park, trained by Ross O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got badly hampered at the first by the faller.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Boston Rover, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

324F STL Logistics H'cap S'chase

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Anthony McCann, trainer of Luminous Light (GB), concerning the conduct of this horse, who had initially lined up and approached the Starter without any difficulty for the rider's first approach, but had subsequently refused to join the field for the second approach resulting in him being withdrawn by order of the Raceday Stewards. Anthony McCann reported that it was unfortunate that there was a false start, that Luminous Light was co-operating fully until a false start had to be called by the Starter after a rider was repeatedly shouting "No". This was confirmed by the IHRB Starter Mr. D. Cullen. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took into account that Luminous Light did jump off and was well behaved for the false start and therefore took no further action on this occasion.

324G Irish Stallion Farms EBF (M) Beg S'chase

S.F. O'Keeffe, rider of Coole Cherry, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount pulled up lame after the line. The IHRB Veterinary Officer confirmed the animal to be lame on its left fore.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The following Raceday Stewards acted on behalf of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board at this race meeting: Mr. John O'Shaughnessy (Chairman), Ms. Jill Farrell, Mr. John Martin-Smith, Ms. Frankie Ward, Mr. L. Aspell.

Following the running of race two the IHRB Clerk of the Course changed the going to yielding to soft on the chase course and soft on the hurdle course.

Using their powers under Rule 29, the Raceday Stewards appointed Mr. Garvan Ware to act as Security Officer at this meeting.
