The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Mr A.P. Ryan, rider of Whats New, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was pulled up injured.

P.K. Donovan, rider of Bayswater Bloom, trained by Miss Evanna McCutcheon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped novicey and made an abnormal respiratory noise in running.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Bayswater Bloom, trained by Miss Evanna McCutcheon, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed D.J Gilligan, rider of First Ascent, D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Tomthescaffolder (GB) and M.P. Walsh, rider of Power Of Knowledge concerning the riders' second approach to the starter. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. J. Gilligan stated that his mount was pushed forward and broke into a canter despite his best efforts. D. J. O'Keeffe stated that another horse planted itself and its rider shouted no which contributed to the incident. M. P. Walsh stated that the horse beside him stopped and its rider used the whip which set his mount off. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that D. J. O'Keeffe, M. P. Walsh and D. J. Gilligan were in breach of Rule 208 (v)(b). Having considered D. J. Gilligan's record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended him for one raceday. Having considered D. J. O'Keeffe's record in this regard (second offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays. Having considered M. P. Walsh's record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended him for one raceday.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, Niall Moore, rider of Man Down, trained by Donncha Duggan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was very green and hung left most of the way.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Man Down, ridden by Niall Moore, and trained by Donncha Duggan. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. Niall Moore stated that his instructions were to line up in the front row but his mount was very outpaced and he settled him in where he was comfortable. He added that his mount was very green, jumped poorly, hung off the bends and just stayed on one paced. Donncha Duggan confirmed the instructions given and expressed his satisfaction with the ride. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Man Down was post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanations given in relation to Rule 212. They were however satisfied that Niall Moore was in breach of Rule 213, in that he had failed to report in the first instance anything that might have affected the running of his mount and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended Niall Moore for one raceday.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Jack Spriggins trained by Dermot P. O'Brien had blood at its left nostril post race.

T. Joseph Kelly, rider of Coral Reid, trained by E. McNamara, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel. This was subsequently confirmed by the IHRB Veterinary Officer.

Kevin Healy, rider of La Muleta (FR), trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout and particularly when passing the stable yard.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Conor Clarke, rider of Larkins Lane, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Conor Clarke was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g (excessive frequency) and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended Conor Clarke for two racedays.

Mr D. Doyle, rider of Hakuna Suala, trained by Donal Commins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran too keen.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed the riders' first approach to the starter. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr J.L. Gleeson, rider of Pat O's Rock, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he had not looked around and he could not hear due to the wind and the rain. He added that he gave his mount three strikes to keep her up to her work. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards gave Mr J. L. Gleeson the benefit of the doubt on this occasion and took no further action.

The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales that Mr J. Flood, rider of Rememberwhat, had failed to weigh in. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he had forgotten to weigh in. Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards, pursuant to the provisions of Rule 230, ordered that Remberwhat be disqualified from fifth place and the placings be amended.

Furthermore, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr J. Flood was in breach of Rule 227 and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewatrds suspended Mr J. Flood for two racedays.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Killeedy, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing post race.
