The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J.W. Kennedy, rider of Master Haku, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung badly left off the home bend.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Endless Talking, ridden by K.M. Donoghue, and Master Haku, ridden by J.W. Kennedy, where it appeared Endless Talking momentarily ran short of room as Master Haku went back to the rail. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
096B Follow Kilbeggan On Social Media Hcp HdlThe Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales that D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Lady Doyanne, had failed to present to weigh back in. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he was not sure if he had finished sixth or seventh and had asked but received no reply and assumed he was not needed. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that D. J. O'Keeffe was in breach of Rule 230 (ii) and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended D. J. O'Keeffe for two racedays and ordered that he forfeit his riding fee. Furthermore, the Raceday Stewards disqualified Lady Doyanne from sixth place.
The amended result now reads:

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Noel C. Kelly, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Fort Randall, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Noel C. Kelly stated that his charge had sustained an injury on its previous racecourse appearance and had strengthened up and improved a lot for the time off. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.
Mr B.M. Coonan, rider of Michael's Jet, trained by V.C.Ward, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his saddle slipped at the start.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed the riders first approach to the starter where they appeared to go before having a flag. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that the incident was caused by The Dancen Kid breaking into a canter despite his riders best efforts and that no further action was warranted.
096C2 William Hill Challenge Series Hcap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Gino Bella, trained by Patrick T. Foley, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
S.F. O'Keeffe, rider of Loughrask Jet, trained by Brian M. McMahon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.
096E William Hill Challenge Series Beg. S'chJ.G. Gilligan, rider of Bobbysingindablues, trained by Paul John Gilligan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
096F William Hill Challenge Series H'cap S'chThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the turn for home involving Harbour Highway, ridden by P.T. Smithers, and Tell Nobody Nothin, ridden by D. Meyler, where it appeared there was contact between the two. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. P. T. Smithers stated that his mount rolled in but he pulled back out when he heard a shout. D. Meyler stated that there was plenty of room when he went down the rail but the horse on his outside rolled in slightly. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action other than to remind P. T. Smithers to ride with more awareness when cornering the bend.
G.B. Noonan, rider of The Blaggard, trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made an abnormal respiratory noise in running and was pulled up.

For this meeting the Raceday Stewards suspended the "starting procedures for tape starts" and the IHRB suspended Rule 208 (i) and Rule 209 (i)
